Responding to arguments against stricter ethics rules for SCOTUS justices, Biden said, “The idea that the Constitution would in any way prohibit or not encourage the court to have basic rules of ethics that are just on their face reasonable ... It’s just not not the case.”

There’s no job that should allow that employee to be able to do corrupt things and still keep that job.

The Constitution does give power to Congress to regulate the Supreme Court!

@@molly5292 it’s written into the Constitution, when Congress passes a bill state it’s not eligible for judicial review.

All this time to prepare, and we can’t just go ahead and say that yes the constitution absolutely does say that congress can (and has many times) set rules for the Supreme Court.

Excellent point. I am sure that the Constitution with have had a code of ethics, the same code, for all who participate in Government, if they'd have envisioned a time like this. What happened to previous SCOTUS who took bribes, gifts? There must have been a few along the way? Now, because some in the current SCOTUS can't stay above these things, we must create a code of conduct for EVERYONE that blankets over SCOTUS, POTUS, FLOTUS, Congress... everyone. I think that is the way to impose it on SCOTUS without them having a say in it.

I believe the Supreme Court would find for reading the Constitution in their own favor. I think our best bet is to hold the Court up to be seen in the light of day. Public opinion of Justice's behavior or impropriety could be the most successful course.

Let me just say what a joke of an interview this was. Talk about lobbing softball questions, these werent even balloons. Amd whsts up with all the dramatic hound dog looks of sympathy from the so-called journslist interviewing him? My country is so messed up, and I'm so damned sick of it all.
