For real. I watched the debate in full and didn’t even think it was THAT bad by Joe’s standards (2x and planned 3 time Trump voter for context), but if the masses wanna look at it as a disaster and give him all this heat, I’m all for it. But the way the administration and MSM status quo is handling it is abysmal. IMO they (MSM) could get away with pretending it was a lot better than they are acting like it was, and he (Joe) could get away with doubling down on it being an alright, yet far from ideal performance…. I’m just kinda surprised that the situation is what it appears to be on social media. Because IMO he could pass by conceding: “It wasn’t my best night”, rather than full on submission with “It was a bad night” and trying to weather the storm. I don’t really get it TBH. Maybe I’m just more accustomed to seeing the real Sleepy Joe than the masses are, but IIRC there were “only” a few moments when his dementia was fully exposed, and his general flow & energy was of course much lower & less impressive than DJT’s, but it was FAR from a disaster the likes of Chris Christie’s moment in one of the later 2016 RNC primary debates when he absolutely eviscerated Marco Rubio with that classic “memorized 20 second speech” fireroasting session, for example. Unless I’m misremembering something (TBF, I didn’t rewatch it, but at least I can remember that I didn’t do so, unlike Sleepy Joe here) there wasn’t really a notable moment I can recall where Joe totally fckin BIFFED his performance in a way that genuinely dropped jaws like that catastrophe Rubio steered himself into. Anyone else able to relate? Again, I was shocked the MSM/SocMed assessment of the event turned out to be this negative and that the admin is acknowledging and admitting failure so completely.

Others died because they were having to make do with what they could afford. Trump had lowered it a small amount for a small number of seniors but not enough to make a difference. Biden is going to lower other pharmaceuticals in his next term for Medicare and the general public. That's what Big Pharma is giving millions to Trump with his promise to have their interest instead of the public interest in mind.

We've heard rumors that he was taking some good drugs to keep him awake and alert. He showed up looking terrified. He did better than expected! Trump almost helped him out by grabbing onto pieces of what he was saying and responding as if he had made sense. The media just have to respond with shock as if they never saw this coming. As if they were sure that he really had it together. But he did look horrible, I thought he might die on stage. I see that that was largely his incredible fear because he knows he can't talk (with personal comprehension) about the issues in our country all by himself. And to be honest, when people reach advanced age (or even before) and get to the point they are a danger to themselves and others, they have normally lost the rational ability to make the right choice. The words "It was a bad episode" are words a fully aware politican would avoid at all costs because that draws associations to mental health issues - like dementia, bipolar etc - where these episodes can be re-occuring. He has a life long stuttering problem. My extremely intelligent 35 yr old son, who has a master's degree in bio-chemical engineering has struggled with a stutter since elementary school. When he practices a speech he does fantastic with his deliverance and you would not know he stutters. When in a debate, or job interview if a question is thriwn at him that is not what he expected, or practiced tge answer does not come as easily because his mind has to race ahead and he needs a few seconds to frame his answer with words that he will not get stuck stuttering on. He sometimes has ti replace the ideal word he would prefer to say with a word his stutter will allow him to say. Most people do not understand how a stutter affects a persons daily life. If my son is going through a stressful time, external stressors, he can experience a few bad months of increased stuttering. It is very frustrating situation he has to ovetcome every single day when interacting with others. People need to be more understanding and give him time to express himself clearly without dismissing him. That is why he prefers to be with family and close friends who get it and have his back, offering support, who are not critical.
