Well, per the constitution, F15s are legal for the common citizen. As are cannon, bombs, rockets (so much for the F15), hand grenades and for that matter nukes. Biden also shows that he doesn't understand war, a F15 is really not all that good at taking out a single person (no matter their pronouns) on the ground. Now if he talked about using a Warthog, well that is something else.

1. You cannot win an asymetric war. You can dominate but you cannot win. 2. Last dominant war fought was WW2 which showed you need about 40:1 civilian to soldier ratio to operate as a successful occupation force with absoute control over the population. 3. Afghanistan was not the first walk away. Vietnam was a walk away. Sometimes it is the smartest thing to do. If the local government is not invested in it's well being, you cannot prop it up forever.

Are they dangerous, and possess lethal capabilities in the right hands, or are they useless? The truth is, America's citizens being well armed has been the #1 deterrent against war on US soil. I've been hearing varieties of this statement since I was in High School. What it looks like to the rest of the world - to use crazy equipment against citizens will ruin its reputation and will wake the rest of the nation up to what's happening. An armed population prevents them from going quietly. From making them dissappear in silence, onto trains and into camps... an armed citizen may not beat a plane or a tank, but if a country has to use those against their people, they are risking a great deal, from insurrection and just putting all of their cards on the table. The government is far more powerful using subtle methods, and we will absolutely be conquered if we allow the subtle methods to be commonplace. You don't really control an area unless you have ground forces. To stop people from speaking in their homes and in the shadows. Sorry this is so disorganized.

I can say that every time it came up the majority said it depended on the situation, and the situation that Biden is inferring is a case where the population is standing up to a tyrannical gov't, in this situation a majority said they would side with the citizens since the oath taken when entering the military puts defending the constitution ahead of the President and Congress. A 7.62mm round up the tailpipe of an F-15 would pretty effectively keep it out of the sky for a while, especially if the engine is running when the freedom seed is planted. Airplanes are pretty fragile, it turns out.

1345/74D Three small points. 1) We don't have to stop the F-15, we just have to stop the person directing it. 2) There is more civilians/Vet's that know how to run that equipment than there is trained soldiers. 3) When faced by an enemy that has more guns remember this. If you're trained, one gun will get you more guns (Not my saying, but the man who did say it was right.)

The thing about modern planes is that yes, when they're in the air there's not much that can be done without some VERY sophisticated countermeasures. However, when they're on the ground, they are sitting ducks. Disrupt the flight capabilites or scare the crew off and they're extremely expensive paperweights.

This whole scenario is irrelevant. No sabotaging our own nations million dollar military technology, before all that consider how many pilots do you think are going to be willing to start firing missiles at their own people on the ground. The answer is none. Pilots are not the "deep state" or some sleazy high up politicians, they are basically normal people who have a mostly regular job, and day to day life and at the end of the day come home to a normal house with a wife and kids and neighbors and say hi to fred and nancy in the driveway next door. Plus all military are sworn to defend the people of the United States, the nation and the constitution, not some politician even if it is the president. Biden couldnt order the military to attack regular civilians if he wanted to, that is an illegal order therefore it can and must be disregarded by every serviceman. The US military for the most part cannot even be used on US soil even the troops deployed to protect the southern border in texas were unarmed. How many soldiers, pilots etc do you think are really going to follow an order to attack their own country?
