​@@Logan-bd5np If you really think that Biffy Clyro are just straight 4/4, then you haven't been listening. They were a young and energetic band with good enough songwriting on their first three albums, but they also toured a lot, played a lot live and got a following. On the fourth album, Puzzle, the songwriting was even better, and on the fifth album, Only Revolutions, they had that one huge hit with the song Mountains. After that, they've only become bigger and bigger. And it's well deserved! Their songwriting is widely acknowledged as being great, and some of their songs are even used by songwriting teachers as examples of great songwriting that one can learn from. Critical acclaim of their albums has only gotten better through the years, with the latest album, their ninth album that came out 2022, is considered their best work. And the same happened with their 6th, 7th and 8th albums consecutively. That doesn't mean that everyone or any random person will like their music, but they're much better than you give them credit for. You wrote in your comment "anyone can do it". Well, let's see you try. Write and record a song that doesn't have to be in their style, but it has to be a great song, with a cool hook, a top line, lyrics that don't suck, a song that's engaging. It didn't even make it onto the album; just a "bonus track" on the deluxe release (read: standard release, using terminology that lets the record lable justify charging a bit more) Was brilliant to see them playing that "bonus track" live last summer though... and we got "on a bang" at Bellahouston Park, too (which they didn't play at Reading/Leeds) \m/

i love biffy and have been listening since Infinity Land and my fav album is puzzle but to say biffy haven't been biffy in a long time is wrong the music is still miles above most today granted i and many other love their old stuff compared to the new but i can't agree that biffy isn't biffy

MrBubbles ive been listening to them since blackened sky, from I first heard 57. Infinity land is one of my favourite albums, everything is different. I call it laziness, lazy dull boring songwriting, even more lazy guitar riffs. Go listen to infinity land and then this and tell me it's the same Biffy.. Puzzle was the start of the change. A friend of mine seen them last year, they played Justboy and people thought it was a cover. I don't care what anyone says, that ain't Biffy Clyro.
