very nice, hope you'll talk about material and how do they port to arnold/unreal. But this was the most easily understandable and informative usd video I've seen so far anywhere.

The extensions usda and usdc exists for the artist to know if the file is an ascii file or a binary file. If the file was saved as .usd, the artist can't know if the .usd file is a binary one or ascii. Then, saving as usda or usdc is a visual way to know what type the usd file is.

This series has been great, but can we lose the $20 microphone and get a decent Mic? The audio is atrocious for a professional video series.
