I’m disappointed with pundits calling the Big 12 a circus and most conferences are weak. I believe college football is transcending and the Bluebloods programs are no longer coveting all the best players. Instead with opening for the Collectives with deep pockets that are influencing players to join programs that are not traditional big teams. I also believe players have become smarter by selecting to play now, against sitting at the traditional programs, and realizing they have the ability to compete at the highest level although not regarded as “5 stars talent”. I think it’s for the best and looking forward to more competitive seasons instead of the certainty of the Bluebloods domination.

I'm a BYU fan, but I cheer for all of the other BIG12 teams. Let's have a strong conference. Easy for me to say, the Cougs control their own destiny. Love to see another BIG12 team in the playoff so they get the chance to beat up on the "parity"/soft SEC/BIG10 teams.

The conference as a whole took the loss in the short term. New teams are trying to build themselves up into blue blood status, but that results in instability and a lack of prestige. In the long run, I think it is healthy to have new schools become powers.

I just wanna go on record and say, they laughed at Coach Prime, they called his first day speech embarrassing and unprofessional, they called the program a circus when he pushed 80 percent of his the roster into the portal. They called him a clown and a parent just wanting to be a coach. After the 4-0 start and losing 8 in a row to finish out the season they said that’s what happens when you play for clicks. Well look at what we have now 6-2, bowl eligible, and if they win out with some help it’s the big 12 title game with a chance to get to the playoffs.

Short-sighted. As the team in the driver seat, byu isn't looking for anyone else to lose. They are looking at the playoff. Obviously, they are in of they win the conference. However, if they lose can they still get an at large bid. KSU and ISU losing did major damage to BYU's at large chances, and the conference as a whole. Before yesterday, the big 12 could've gotten 3 teams into the playoff. Now it is the champion and maybe byu.

As a BYU fan I'm going to be cheering for Kansas State to win out the season so we still have a chance at the playoffs even if we loose the conference championship. It is a long shot and depends on chaos in the top 10 teams, but chaos is happening, and a win against a high ranked SMU and a low ranked Kansas State keeps that hope alive. But only if Kansas State plays well. All of this could change next week, but for now, go wildcats.

Totally agree The ONLY WAY the B12 gets two teams into the playoffs is if 1. Two loss ranked Colorado wins the B12 Championship, by beating 2 Previously undefeated, and top ten ranked BYU Nothing else will place more than just the B12 Champ in. Three loss Colorado is too much of an ask, nobody cares about a two loss Iowa State if they make it No three loss B12 team will make the playoffs, and to be honest, no other two loss B12 team will make the playoffs EXCEPT Colorado Ratings and TV $$$ is the only thing that matters, and ONLY Colorado can pull better ratings than most of the B10, SEC, and all of the ACC, Period.

NGL. BYU is not smiling for various reasons. Kansas was making us look good, we are getting more and more anxiety about the Utes cause it seems like that kind of a week. And now Houston is looking like one of the biggest threats we will face all year. Daniel’s with Kansas was a problem last year and honestly we have been humbled enough in our history in moments like this to know better than to see this as a good thing or to think that any one of these games is a lock. Expectations can take a hike cause we’ve got to play ball every week or we will lose. Regardless of these teams records, they are all still good teams. None of these are gimmes. We’ve got to bury them six feet deep with swiftness or they’ll be burying us. We aren’t smiling we are anticipating the war ahead.

@ yeah, they play Texas Tech who just proved they can beat an undefeated team 8 weeks into the season, and KU has lost 6 games by a total of 30 points. That’s less than 1 touchdown per game. None of those teams they play have anything to lose but the game. Beating a top 25 team and spoiling their chances to make it to the Big 12 Championship game is a pretty cool thing to play for when you’ve got nothing else. Colorado needs to show up every week. I doubt they will.
