Mick reminds me of the happiness and freedom that weller showed when he broke up the jam .. both jones and weller seem almost relieved to start new projects and not be so serious and angry... a lot of joy and laughs with their new directions.. looking back BAD were years ahead of the future foreshadowing the Manchester dance rock scene etc

There are two songs in my history that kicked off with a bang: BAD C'mon every beat box and Straight outta Compton. Two of the most powerful kick your teeth in bangers that the age of sampledelica brought us.

Saw them when they were touring the first Album with the Original Line up. One spectacular Gig. The Ticket Stubb ( still have it) was numbered 101 the exact same number as my Clash Ticket Stubb ( still have also) and as everyone knows the 101rs were Strummers old Band and the Number that the Ghetto Blaster is stopped on the Boxset! Clash connection through the Ether

“I know the feelings of my heart, and I know men. I am not made like any of those I have seen; I venture to believe that I am not made like any of those who are in existence. If I am not better, at least I am different. Whether Nature has acted rightly or wrongly in destroying the mould in which she cast me, can only be decided after I have been read.” ― Jean Jacques Rousseau, Confessions
