I wish I was around to see people like Glenn Miller. But these are the modern swing. Best genre ever!

I had the pleasure of seeing these guys live at a Jingle Ball YEARS ago in San Diego. I had already knew who they were..But man they blew the doors off that place and brought the house down! It's guys like this that keep swing alive! Any old school swing musician would be proud of these guys. Jusr phenominal musicianship!

I've been told that if Glenn Miller were alive now, he would be so happy that his style is still emulated in a band like BBVD. He was a man way ahead of his time and imagine if he had today's technology!!

"Glenn Miller... style is still emulated .. " You have got to be kiddin. Miller had a fine swing band and a very tight approach with arrangements and solos. It was swing in the old style. This has no relationship at all to GM. Try thinking of Louis Prima eh?

its all about practice and working on being able to get just the right balance of edge but still keep good tone quality. As a jazz trombonist, we are never afraid to just try to push our breath more and control our lips a little less to get those awesome buzzing noises. Things in jazz are much more lax than in other forms of music like concert music or marching. TL:DR: practice and bravery to try new things
