Man I love these challenge videos, I got a challenge for you myself. I'd like to see you pick 5 of the gimmicks fishing lures from the infomercials I used to watch as a kid and try to catch one on each lure. I'd like to see, the banjo minnow (which I owned and caught fish on), the walking worm, helicopter lure, the flying lure, and the mighty bite. Would be very interesting. Haha keep up the great vids.

awesome bro..big bait fishing is a whole different realm..patience and dedication..but when u get bit 9/10 its gunna be a quality fish..glide baits arent the best in dirty/murky water..more for clear water and the wide glide draws alot of attention..if ur pond was clear i guarantee u wouldve stung something sooner..cant wait til u throw a big top water bait like a slammer or custom rat..even a spro rat 50 will get it done..morning dawn color would kill it in that pond..keep the challenge goin brother..the rewards of big bait fishing are paramount..I like this little series you got goin..cant wait to see wat ur throwin next..

I'd probably make one first. But once upon a time I swore I wouldn't spend $10 on a lure. When I was broke during my first marriage I used to scour the Walmart and K Mart fishing departments for whatever was on clearance. It seems the buyer at K Mart was ignorant of what fishermen in the area wanted and there was always a lot on clearance. I still have some of it some 20 years later.

I fish the 7" version and have smashed multiple 7+ pounders. Amazing bait for $15. Just have to change the crappie hooks. I may try the 10" late fall, early winter.

Honesty, I have a Huddleston, but it's nowhere as good as a swimbait made by Engrid lures. They're actually a saltwater lure. I've caught 6 double digits. 6. Huddleston, 1. The best part about is the is about $9. Definitely my most used and produces big fish and regularly.

Now lets see you go out on some real water and do it. Stocked pond fishing and open lake fishing are two different animals. You catch a fish like that on a lake then I'll be impressed. Sweet lure though.

I've caught a lot of clams. Basically they sit in water with slightly opened shell, so it can feed. If hook gets inside of them, they immidiatly close, leaving them on hook. They are very strong, so if it ''bites'', it stays there. Clams are a good sign. They don't live in dirty water.

Dude, you are awesome!! I am very impressed by the amount of time that you spend on each lure until you catch a decent fish. I do agree with other comments that you should get out on a lake, especially one known for big fish and find some clearer water to try these on. Not many people out there that would even attempt to fish lures like those in the muddied up smaller waters that you are fishing. Outstanding job, I love to watch your videos and please keep making more of them!!

If I was doing this challenge, I would turn the camera off and fish regular baits for a couple hours just to catch something, then turn the camera back on and resume the challenge. I think if I caught one in the first 5 minutes I'd keep plugging.

there is just not any need for a $100 bait. If you fish somewhere that has water that is super super SUPER clear maybe a bait that looks that real is worth it but for most its just not going to get you the return you think it will.

Unfortunately, it really doesn't matter how good the lure looks to the fisherman. It is the opinion of the fish that counts. I do, however, admire your persistence.

I don't remember where I heard/ read it or how much truth may be behind it, but I once heard that there are places where the bass have learned to avoid lures or certain baits. We all know that they're super smart fish, but there are places where fishermen think that there isn't much of or anything to catch because the bass have learned to avoid whatever everyone in that area tries to catch them with. Have you ever heard of this or does it just sound like bull?

that is an antique lure. better save it for the lure collectors. do not remove it from the packaging it is worth more that way. apparently the makers of the lure went out of business. i did a search and can not find it. now i hope i am wrong. if someone finds the lures for sale or the maker please post the info.
