Love this tune - though it doesn't sound like Basie himself to me. You say 1995 - when did he die?

That's why I changed the title of the post to avoid confusion. Basie died in 1984. This recording was made by the "active" Basie band (probably led by Frank Foster before he left the band in 1995) similar to let's say the "active" Glenn Miller band. Obviously Basie is not on this recording himself unless he teleported it in from the coffin, lol.
