Big Bang - Bae Bae Reaction

Nobody warned us about the song's subject matter, haha! We really love Big Bang, and the song is ridiculously catchy, but personally the lyrics and subject aren't necessarily our thing. We understand that it's just a personal preference, though, so in no way are we 'hating'. We think a good fan doesn't have to blindly like every song that an artist puts out. We just have to respect them for their artistry. It's part of being human to have preferences, right?

I hope you guys stay innocent. :-) Great reaction video, as always. I started watching reaction videos to some of my favorite Korean songs after randomly stumbling upon your reaction vid to PHS's Wildflower. You guys are my favorite because you don't overreact or falsely express enthusiasm. Plus, you usually try to pay attention to details. I'd say that's probably why you have so many subscribers. So, thanks guys. Oh and since this will probably be the only time I comment ever haha, I just want to quickly add that I think Kitty would make a great actress/model (That is, in addition to whatever her life aspirations are). She has, simply, one of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen.

I can't decide on which I like the most- they are both so different, though at times I lean more towards bae bae because of the beat I love hearing loser. Loved the reaction and Kitty's (?) sense of humor.

The title of the song "Bae Bae" means "baby" as in ", Hello, bebe!" This title is important vis a vis the kind of visual sexual suggestions. In the mv, we are actually shown the picture of "baby" following TOP's symbolic frolicing inside the floral vigina of a woman and his syringe insemination of her. This picture of the actual baby and the title "Bebe" are important in that these show that the Big Bang boys are not fooling around with women, but want to make and have "family" with loving wife and baby. The traditional Korean dress Hanbok in the last scene are actually "wedding dresses" and visually symbolize "marriage." If they just wanted to fool around with women, they would not want to have "pregnancies" and would try to eliminate any possibilities, or consequences, of "pregnancy." But they show the picture of baby and evince their desire to take the responsibility and have the baby with the loving girl. This serious desire, however, is ironically twisted at the very end scene of the mv with "chapsalttok." Let me explain how: The last scene of the video does not have any depiction or allusion to doing drugs at all. It's very unfortunate many international fans' reactions mistake the scene for such. The word "chapsalttok" sang in the scene means a kind of rice cake in Korea whose rather tasty stickiness culturally serves as a symbol of excellent loving relationship between couples, especially between husband and wife. And what's funny is how GD sings "chapsalttok" in that distinct manner and melody which is uttered in the street by venders of chapsalttok in the old days usually at night to sell them to people inside the houses in the neighborhood. These street venders back in old days were poor people trying to meet the ends. And their shouting of "chapsalttok" therefore sounded very sad and pleading. This "pleading" quality of GD's singing of "chapsalttok" is the continuation, and the reminder of the same "Loser" theme of the earlier release. The boys in this song want to make happy family with loving girls. The specks of white things thrown in the air are rice grains thrown in the traditional wedding to wish happy marriage with many kids. But because "they" in the video are "Losers," they can only dream about making and having such "happy family." Hence, the sadness and dreaminess in the depiction in the last scene of "chapsalttok."

"chap ssal dduk~ chap ssal dduk~" means "rice cake~ rice cake~" when I was elementary schooler there were old men saying chap ssal dduk very loud to sell rice cakes it was funny to me adding this to the song

The last scene is about korean tradition we had a myth about moon and i think the moon means this scene as a fantasy of the member's and 'chap sal ddeok'is a korean traditional rice cake which has a lot of viscosity so it is really gluey and sticky. In this MV I think it means a very viscious relationship between members and the girls in the MV

Really enjoy ur reactions, especially from Wild-Flower by Park Hyo Shin. Thumbs UP! Little bit of Cultural & MV explanation for weird-like Big Bang MV. Towards the end of MV, Chap-Sal-Dduk (rice-cake) symbolizes the perfect match between a boy & a girl. It's so sticky, so they will never break apart. The moon is a similar symbolic meaning as u will find in America & Europe, for instance "Fly to the Moon." By Frank Sinatra. I believe the beginning of MV symbolizes how men generally fall for a woman, "Sexual, so beautiful (so-shiny) needs sunglasses, yet still somewhat innocent. Perception will vary a lot from person to person, but that's how I took. So hopefully didnt confuse u too much. :)
