She was built with many parts that were small and specially manufactured for her specifically it would take more time than what another engine or more two could do instead of replacing her worn parts she was scrapped :(

Bertha, along with the LMS Garratts, was never given an official power classification or top speed rating, she was more than powerful enough to handle any load thrown her way, so it was deemed pointless to find a theoretical maximum load.

I do think that the group of Railway Preservation's who built Tornado have tossed around the idea of building a 1:1 Replica of Big Bertha, but after they build their P2 class next year, if it does become a reality, she would problaby be finished in 2027 - 2028 or something like that, and yes, she would probably take tours to the NRM
