The initial pull away seems quicker, but that would be about right given the motor size along with the gearing up required, if you could have used gearing very close to the stock it may have been more noticeable. I run almost the same running gear as you so it is OK on 4S but now 6S it is how it should run on 4S so always a trade off adding alloy upgrades, the wheels have been the biggest improvement I want to get a second set of alloy to try some different tyres, any suggestions the 2.2/3.0 hyrax but they look a lot taller would like some more scale looking but with similar size to stock.
@ExocagedRC5 жыл бұрын
Nick Ing dazed & confused with any luck I’ll have the new Hyrax today to go on a set of Vitavon wheels. There really isn’t much out there for the UDR for tires. I know there are some Trenchers for SCT that may fit.

The stock esc may be able to handle it. The stock motor is 2200kv so yeah the 1650 will be slower even geared up.

I recently destroyed the rear ring and pinion on my UDR. I'm curious if that's just because I am still running the stock rear axle which flexes (I'm sure) or just a random thing. Are your gears staying together even after the Max6 install or have you also gone through gears? Also on a side note, I'm starting to get some grinding in my Super Rock Rey. I've pulled the front diff and the gears are only slightly worn. Do you think the SRR has enough power to grind them even when slightly worn? Next is I'm going to pull the rear diff and check that as well. The center diff is fine, not even worn at all.
@ExocagedRC5 жыл бұрын
Lane Waite the rear pinion gear will wear out and chip off, I’ve done that with normal running. On eBay you can find whole gearsets, I’ll get you a link for them. It’s normal wear and tear IMO. consider the VITAVON rear axle housing, it’s really nice at keeping the heat dissipated from the planetary. There is a link in the description for the Vitavon stuff. As far as the SRR goes, I had an SBR that was loud from the factory, the driveline is tough though.
@SebastianLong5 жыл бұрын
@@ExocagedRC Nah, I know what the normal gearset sounds like in the SRR. This is making the same sound my UDR was making before I changed the gears. I've been too busy and/or running other RCs to worry about it at the moment. Still haven't pulled the rear end apart to check it. It does it mostly under braking and is why I thought it was the front diff. Probably pull the rear end apart this weekend. As far as the UDR goes, I've got 2 more sets of spares, but was curious if you knew about anything stronger, maybe like with bigger teeth on the gears. If I blow the two spares I have, then I'll get the aluminum housing. Right now I'm being cheap because I bought the SRR (used), ProBoat Zelos (2, for me and my brother), 1/10 Rock Rey (for my brother), and a Losi 3xle in the last 60 days. That's a lot of money going out and I'm trying to get back to my comfort zone in my bank account.
