24 and 26 BMX bikes are THE BEST all-around fun bikes for any non-epic adventure. Riding 4 blocks to 7-Eleven on your $6,000 Dually isn't fun, but thrashing my 24" 35 yr old Mongoose racebike is! You can throw them in the back of your truck or bungee them to the roof of your Corolla without a care. They take 2% of the maintenance of some 1×11 hydraulic braked carbon dual suspension bike, and if you can ride, will thrash the fancy bike around town or the dirt lot behind the shop. I LOVE 'EM!!!

We used to put marzocchi shocks and hit dirt jumps and surprisingly very effective to huck big gaps and as long as you can sink the transition then your minty but even at skate parks with front suspension and some highrise MTB bars you've basically got the first rendition of what the refer to as a dirt jumper mtb and there's lots you can do to sprocket sizes to make it easy to pedal at short distances.

Wondering if you would come across these and not resist the temptation. I bought an essay fat quad a few years back and quickly realized I didn't need my mountain bike anymore. Soon as I figured out that I can climb just as well on that single speed as I could my mountain bike it was up for sale. So I use my 26 for trail riding dirt jumps and occasional skatepark sessions. Mine has front and rear disc brakes though, a definite upgrade on the trails compared to a single rear caliper. Love the two wheeled videos keep them coming!

I'm a dh and enduro kind of guy, but after watching a lot of Max Fredrickson I decided to drive to Kolo in Ashevill and rent a dirt jumper and try out their jump lines. After a couple of hours of progression I crashed terribly and couldn't ride for a year. Aint easy leaving the ground in your 40's. But, with a heap of Colorado riding under my belt I'm a lot better in the air, and now I want a "slope-duro" bike. Smaller frame, smaller wheels, tiny bit of suspension front and back compared to a regular mountain bike. I like the idea of being able to load the back suspension, anything hardtail feels weird as hell to me.

Love the bike content. For the chest mount, try putting the gopro upside down, then you can point it up towards your face (then it won't just show the top tube).

Good idea! I’ll try it out

Really digging the bike content! Also dig the usual content! For the chest mount be sure to mount your camera upside down and then find your angle from the “attack position” super view aspect ratio helps too. Happy shredding and wheeling bro!

@@thedirtheadshed The idea is to get the lens as low as possible and then just tilt the SOB up. Before chin mounts became the rage upside down on a chestie was the way to go. Happy shredding and wrenching and fabbing. 👍

This rules. DMC rules. Good bike scene up in PNW. A UA style adventure mixed with bicycle stuff would rule. Bike racks on rock crawlers.
