FACTS...100% true. I got my kit almost 2 years ago and Juan claimed I was one who had an early kit. The intake, oil line, downpipe, and a few bits and pieces didn’t fit. The wastegate was faulty too. He doesn’t have a turbo specifically for external wastegates, you have to modify the internal wastegate on the turbo by welding the flap shut. It looks horrible and hopefully it doesn’t leak down the road. I also had to shell out money to get this working correctly. The water line is too large in diameter and he supplies the worm gear clamps rather than T-bolts, and mine still leaks. I have an external WG and the dump pipe points right at my plastic transmission pan so I had to get a shield custom made. BTW it took almost 2 months to receive everything, and he even argued with me because I was upset that the parts didn’t come in the timeframe he stated. Just as you stated, make sure you book shop time for install AFTER you receive the parts. I lost a lot of money booking on what I thought was my time, but it was really on his time! Basically used leave for no reason when parts didn’t show up, and paid the shop extra because half the kit didn’t even fit.

Hello, Juan has officially commented on this video on Facebook and has stated that he has improved on some xdrive parts and such. He said he will send me out new improved coupler with silicone that will be long enough to fit so will see what happens there. Also has hired on some help to improve customer service... @@G42Shady port is good for meth to evenly distribute the meth, I’d do port, hpfp stage 1 or 2, lpfp stage 2 or 3 and ps2 that’s about 520-550 whp if tuned correctly

I wish I saw this before I bought my kit. I got the 3.3, it was 3 weeks late. The hpfp is a whole different issue now. My tuner said don’t do port injection because of the hpfp I am getting. Now I have soooo many questions lol.

Engine is toast he says..a brand new engine from BMW is definitely not the move and a used one..definitely not. should I go with full built engine? a fully ported head and everything? I'm so glad I went with SpeedTech npw that I see this video, just dropped it off at the shop the other day, getting installed this week. I also saw that replacing the LPFP motor/pump with a 535 is far more than enough, since it's rated for like 60psi turbos and/or 900hp. Than Also saw that upgrading just the HPFP would do the trick for 650whp and tuning wpuld be a whole lot easier. My question is though, can I drive my car around with the stock tune and fueling and the EFR 8374 kit for a while at low power, say 20psi, until I do the fueling upgrades and custom tune?

I’m not sure how far to push the factory turbo but I wouldn’t go that route I will just go to a pure stage two. Factory turbo is a tiny Borg Warner it’s not meant for more than it’s pushing

I am not familiar with 535 platform. The 535 is a single turbo not twin it’s just called twin scroll because of dual channel inlet.

Do you feel like the VTA design of the bigboost turbo changes or reduces the DV sound? I recently put in a GFB DV+ and it became almost silent, and in looking into it I realized the bigboost DV setup seems quite different than PS2 and stock - big boost seems to be the only one that has the open air vent on the pipe right below the DV housing Separately, I have had an absolutely horrible time with juan/bigboost (and continue to hear the same from others) - when my banjo bolts failed it was a nightmare getting a replacement from him. The provided worm clamps failed eventually too - getting all those replaced with T clamps was not cheap just due to the time to get to all of them.

I got the 3.3 kit and my guy installed it in 2-3 days(My HPFP got Lost thru delivery so that’s why he took 3 days max but he would of had it done in one day damn near he’s crazy ). The first day he already had the kit partial in . He didn’t need instructions he did say the kit wasn’t one of the best kits he has installed but he did say he had to trim some stuff other then that the only thing did come lose was the pipe to the intercooler from the passenger side . The clamps are cheap I pulled up to my guys house n he had to use a diff clamp he had extra . The clip that held the pipe to the intercooler wouldn’t lock in for some reason the driver side was nice and tight but other side it would just pop out so he hammered it in but other then that it’s n ok kit . 6 months going n still good . Still on base tune because bootmod is stupid and my flashing stopped working after they did updates and they had to manually flash my car back to stock they said “nuke” my account so lose everything and would have to message tuners again . Anyways that lasted since like January till March when they released a new update which I didn’t know and just a day ago for some reason I decided to flash my car because I saw my app updated by itself and flashing worked again . Base tune by wedgeperformance. Anyways kit is ok just depends who gets what parts some people get lucky some don’t . Now when I log and get a better tune i hope pipes don’t go blowing off lol . My guy also said that T clamps is the way to go with the kit better and save you the hassle

When I went from stock intake to BMS, it did not sound louder, no whooshing etc. Then when I upgraded DV comparing stock DV to GFB DV+ it actually got quieter. What was your experience? There is no Mac solenoid it’s a special boost solenoid borrowed from a Volvo that is run off brake booster vacuum because n55 does not make vacuum on the manifold

bigboost wont respond at all.whats difference in bigboost stage 3 -3.3 and 3.4? also cant get straight answers from bm3. is there a tune for this or bigboost gtx800 already in there $595 fee? will the turbo smart plumb back version work ok?i dont want the wooshing sound. theres alot of confusion on whats forged/whats not in the n54,n55,s55.i havent seen anyone break anything runnin this much in an N55.

My answer to all this is stay away from big boost. I still get horror stories and if you want to risk your car and your wallet go for it. The N55 can handle around 600 before you have problems. I don’t even know what you mean by wooshing sound… go to a pure stage 2 to make sure you don’t have issues. And if big boost won’t respond do you think that this is starting on the right foot to begin with?

Pure is a hybrid made off of your stock turbo and 3.4 kit is a cheap made turbo called master power that in my opinion is a junk turbo that claims ball bearing but is not and for 3k it is what it is

Get with a tuner first since you can’t use off the shelf tunes in most cases with turbos and he will tell you what you need to not fry your pistons
