Keep trying it will start !!! I’m not joking even try some starter Fluid I had the same problem me and my buddy kicked this thing for a hr and it fired right up and after we drove it around for a bit we still kinda struggled with the start I gave the carbs a clean and bam it fired 1st kick every time also when you first start it don’t let it idle long it will get hot !

It worked okay but my head is a lil warped so that's what caused my issue . There are some things that work great and some don't best to read reviews and check star ratings

Poor fella sounds like it was outta time and yea the rings may be a issue I used a cheap kit but used a namura piston, use a namura piston

Mine makes the exact sound bout doesn’t turn on at all. Can it be the starter clutch or valves ?

It could be low compression maybe valves to open?

The head is probably warped and the head gasket probably didnt seal properly. When you did the leak down test before if the head gasket was blown it would leak there. Probably need to get the head professionally resurfaced. Or new head but dont give up brother.

I hope you didn’t give up on the Z-400’s ?!? Those water pump rebuild kits you did in the last video are just a bad idea and a pain. I just do the whole water pump assembly as it’s easier and gives me more of a piece of mind. 🙂

Your best be is to get a wiesco gasket set thats what ive seen on the forums for the ltz and drz with the cheap big bore kits the gaskets aren't that good

That's what happen to mine I'm actually pulling it into the garage to figure out what the problem is going to be but I'm almost sure the head is warped or needs a little resurfacing I did a previous video resurafaving mine just a bit but I think it needs more under how to resurface old quad head
