The predominantly yellow Sansevieria/Dracaena you saw is called “Gold Flame.” I love mine.

The Proven Winners brand uses their own names for plants (not sure if a marketing or a licensing thing), so that pothos likely was just a golden pothos. 😂 The hoya "seastone" looks like a burtoniae. A couple of my hoyas are from PW, I got a rosita and a curtsii from them! Their small 3 inch pots are so affordable and makes for a satisfying experience to have them grow out. Thanks again for another fun video! I always love watching these plant shopping videos, just makes me jealous since I don't have any of these in my local box stores right now due to weather.
@plantsbymelissa8 күн бұрын
Ahh okay! I had no idea they use their own names for plants 😄 thanks for letting me know :) I was like why does this look just like a golden pothos?! Haha. I couldn’t believe the Hoyas were only $6. Definitely a great deal!
@gazmatazz30028 күн бұрын
@@plantsbymelissa yes can confirm they have their own patent names. Why? No idea but its dumb cuz they confuse people. Also an confirming the seastone is burtoniae
@anthonyeli10848 күн бұрын
I’m jealous you found a Curtsii by PW! Never seen that one in my area. I have their Rosita, Chouke and Wayetti. I usually buy two and plant them together in the same pot bc they’re so affordable.

Thanks for this video. I just went to 3 Home Depots a couple weeks ago and I purchased some Hoyas that I definitely didn’t need. 😆 Btw, the correct name for the PW “sea stones” is actually Hoya sp aff burtoniae (variegated). I’ve noticed they have been giving them incorrect names for marketing purposes (sad and annoying at the same time).

I need to buy a pole trimmer saw thing from Home Depot, but I keep putting it off b/c I want to wait till it's warmer and the spring plants are there! Our HD has very few plants in the winter, even inside. Our Lowes is barren right now too. I bet that grass dog comes in a cat version, but it still seems like a high price for what it is. The sea stone hoya (H. burtoniae?) is so pretty! I have two other hoya on my wish list right now, but I might cave and get one if I saw it. Thanks for the video!

I have the green Pothos Shangri La and will definitely be on the lookout for the variegated one. I also like the Pothos with the strange leaves!!😮 I've become very interested in orchid cactus since I rescued and rehabbed a night blooming cereus!! I have several different varieties now, but all small. Enjoyed plant shopping with you Melissa! Oh, I did recently buy the sansevieria Moonshine. Love the silvery color!!❤

I saw a few plants that I liked, what a shock! In particular I liked the Shangri La, I would buy one just for the name. Lost Horizon is one of my all time favorite novels and of course the hidden city of Shangri La features prominently in it. Yup, I’d like one for sure. I’ve also been considering a dwarf ZZ plant for a while now so thanks for showing one. My wife says, and quite vehemently, “no more plants” but maybe I’ll sneak one in when she and our sons go on their ski trip soon? Hmmmmmmm. Thanks for the video.

I’m looking forward to spring too! I’m going to do some winter sowing soon in containers and put them out in the snow. I’ll do some Echinacea and Delphiniums and a few others maybe. Hard to believe this method works but it does! 😊
