The silver streak is a really easy to grow plant, I've let mine just get bushy and it's taken on a nice shape without needing a growth support

Another enjoyable plant tour tonight. The Walmart in Anna looks pretty good and nicely organized. Loved the beautiful selection of planters. And the indoor plants looked so gorgeous. What I have learned about succulents is water feed once a month something well with direct light or bright light I started with one did not know much of it overwater it I show videos listen to people's experience learn few things and I have two that are doing well. Now I'm a cactus lover I know much more of a cactus

Succulents: use succulent soil, mix in some sand and small pebbles. I use water globes or a glass bottle turned upside down in the dirt. Flower looking ones I bottom water if they grow over edge of pot. I use a moisture meter & wait until it says dry to water. Flower shaped ones are the least thirsty. Succulents like a more shallow pot and they like to be a little crowded. In TX, I think they grow better inside in front of a window.

I’m in zone 6a and I have succulents growing in my outdoor garden…they were there when I moved in and they are getting quite large..they do go dormant in the winter but as soon as the weather starts to warm up they don’t miss a beat..there is a large tree nearby so they do get shade which keeps them cooler

I looked up the succulents in my front yard..they’re called showy stonecaps or Hylotelephium.. can take full sun, they bloom late summer/early fall and they are great for bees

Also if you love Calathea try a Ctenanthe they are way more easy going than a typical Calathea…you can also try a Rattlesnake Calathea as it is not as needy as most others

You’re welcome! I had been struggling with Calathea until I got a rattlesnake.. I’ve had it for a couple of months and it hasn’t given me any grief..it sits in front of a northwest facing window and I water when it’s almost dry..now that the sun is out more it’s taken off my n growth..the Ctenathe I got a couple of weeks ago and it is much easier to acclimate..it sits in the same window and is giving tons of growth..it also gets water when it is nearly dry and no fuss
