@@AeraleachHe was right though. Destiny was operating under logical principles pitted against social relationships. As soon as private turns public, as Pxie said, it’s public. Destiny historically has sided with principles over consequences when it comes to this topic. Also Destiny lost a very smart, decent and rational friend over this. If this was a conversation with a bunch of black buddies he would have conceded because everyone would have felt a bit weird that he thinks principles first over how it might affect the people he involves himself with. Lose every friend for an abstract principle, must be a great principle.

Like how he brought up video games in response to Kormantine's studies showing private use of the n-word being socially negative. What the fuck does legal banning of video games have to to with moral use of the n word. We're not trying to ban the n word. It's not a legal argument, not even strictly an argument of moral principle either but to some extent, it's more of a social argument which is of course still moral but you get the point.
@cur33142 ай бұрын
Dude you completely missed the point. Should we not play violent video games because there is a correlation between them and players being more violent? His point was that you can interact with potentially harmful things in certain ways that avoid these negative outcomes. The main argument Kormantine was making at that point was about slurs and racist jokes leading to negative social behaviors, which is what Destiny was responding too.
@misterdemocracy33352 ай бұрын
@@cur3314 The violent video game example is still not a good comparison. With violent games the influence will be conferred on the individual themselves who chooses to play while the usage of slurs in private social settings will influence other people. There’s a stark ethical difference. There’s also the direct correlation with private slur usage while what are we talking about with violent video games? Does it increase violent language, does it increase combative personality or does it actually result in real world violence and by what metric? This is to say nothing of what Pxie brought up, the moment you’re talking about the ethics of private slur usage it’s public which negates the argument. No doubt this attitude became more sympathetic to thousands of fans which feeds right into what Kormantime pointed out with his studies.

I’m glad you managed to wake up to Hasan and the far left through this debate. I’m curious if you happen to still be active on this account since I’d like to hear where you’re at with things today and how you got to where you’re at now with all this stuff. That is, assuming you still even semi-actively engage in the online political sphere xD

I’m an adult, I don’t need these people telling me what concepts I can or can’t handle as a viewer. I would like to here Destiny’s thoughts, get that censorship out of here.

Kormantine DOES NOT know what Racism is, which he made apparent by unironically being racist multiple times towards both the white and the black panelist, but "BlAck PEoPle CaN't be RaCist." yes we can if you have ever heard of colorism, it's just another word for black on black racism.

No one said black people can't be racist you monkey. The statement is black people can't be racist to white people. Candace Owens is a prime example of black people being racist towards other black people

As soon as Trump's name gets brought up everyone has to make sure that he doesn't get portrayed in a good light. 🤣😂 Make sure you make that clear no matter what you did everything wrong. I'm not a Trump supporter but it lets me know that some people are incapable of looking at things from a different angle as long as they're triggered enough
