I love how Hypixel is protecting these scammers. "Do not tell people to report scammers [people who are breaking our rules], because we will ban you [even though you did not break any rules]." AND! If I'd sell a Treecapitator for 800m coins, I'd get banned for Boosting/IRL-trading in a few hours. Yet these scammers manage to make tens of billions of coins in a few days, and they are NEVER banned. The in-game report is useless, don't use that. Create a few emails and spam Hypixel with these reports.

It simply doesn't work. I believe that the in-game report system just doesn't send the reports to Hypixel. If you use email, you'll get an automated response that you were wrong and don't message them again. Fucking joke. Disgusting.

the problem is threatening others as a youtuber is just setting up a bad example for the playerbase "if a youtuber is doing it then it means its ok to threaten people" im sure hypixel is ok with it if you tells your friends/guild to report a scammer as long as you dont say things like "return the items or we mass report you" as for the part that they dont get banned, there are like tens of thousands of scam reports and not so many people to review if they are scamming or just false reports

You know what’s funny? You can make a little profit off these scammers. For the first one, get a friend to list the collateral item at like 1/5th the price the scammer says they are worth. When the scammer buys them, dip with your profit. For the second one, you can buy all the low price ones, but make sure to check the price or have a mod that stops you from buying high price items And for the third one, say you don’t trust the scammer and have them buy a low tier item for much more then it’s worth if we all did this when we see one of these scammers, we can edge off their profit!!

This scam happened to me awhile back, around a year ago. This guy told me he needed help transferring and he gained my trust, pulling the old "yeah scammed suck" making me more inclined to believe him. I lost around 30m in armor and pets, and when I tried to list the dctr papers they never ever sold. I can't remember the guys name and I'm on a new profile now, just wanted to share this.

Most of the ah scams can be avoided if you get NEU, since it can tell you if you're buying/selling the item at a lower or higher price and it tells you the real amount, so you have to go out of your way to confirm that you understand that you acknowledged this

I saw a scam that would basically hack into your account and then you loose everything not only money. Obviously I didn't fall for it but basically they invite you to a discord e.g. for dungeons vc or similar where you need to verify that you re not a bot by logging in to a "hyAuth" bot which when you do it will ask you for a one time log in code which when you type it in the scammer can login with the code an do whatever he wants ... Pretty scary one imo

Honestly people got to be more careful, if you are taking part in any things where you are lowballing or helping someone do something, you should just be aware, most smart and careful people will never get scammed, so as much as the scammers are bad people, if you get scammed, it is most likely your fault.

I dont know how known it is but a worse scam that I unfortunately fell for is people advertising discord channels to join in dungeon finders and once in the discord channel it has you “link” your account to verify you but its a scam to gain access to your email and your Minecraft account. Some of these scams are easy to avoid because they’re in server that very clearly was recently created but I got scammed because the server I fell for had 40k something people in it. It can also lead to the scammers being able to lock you out of your computer depending on if your email is linked to your computer

a scam happened to me like 4 or 5 months ago, a guy told me to put ANCIENT on a wither googles (idk what i was thinking), i were helpfull so i just tried to help him, the guy told me the wither googles had bobim time 5 (or some enchantment that cost around 100m), the guy asked for collat, and i gave him my legendary bal pet (i still miss it), a scarf grimoire, and a fresh new storm set, then the guy "lagged in the trade", then he switched the wither googles with bobim time to a normal wither googles (they still had wisdom 5 and some t6 enchantments). in the end he asked me to put the wither googles for 5m and he would return an item (obviusly i didnt do it, it would be a massive loss and a second scam, so... thats why how i purchased for 100m a wither googles) anyways, the karma was good because 4 days later i got a handle in my 4th f7 run
