It’s not the fact that he didn’t trust Taylor. It’s the fact that he has a black man decided that it was his place to tell a white man (Daniel) that it was OK to put Taylor up. He degraded Taylor and said she was not a good representation for black women and allowed Daniel to put her up because of what he said. Not only did he believe Paloma over Taylor because she used her tears as a away to make Taylor seem like the aggressor. He actively stood bye as Taylor faced micro aggressions and disgusting comments by the rest of the house.

It’s interesting to me that when he’s in the hot seat having to explain the nasty things he said about Taylor, he doesn’t remember a thing. He made a ton of mistakes and hopefully he will grow. I do think the internet bullying has for reality stars have gone to a level that is excessive . In real life, the amount of people that are committing crimes every single day that nearly don’t get attention (that are public in nature). This is hilarious. He lost because he maintained no relationships with the jurors. Indy built a relationship with Taylor towards the end. Alyssa right after eviction with no interview told Julie she’s rooting for Brittany or Taylor. Joseph had a stronger relationship with Taylor. Terrance didn’t even like Monte coming out. Micheal mentioned several times he was pulling for Taylor and she has a great story. Jasmine started building a relationship with Taylor. Brittany was never voting for Monte. At the end of the day, the majority of the jury had a stronger connection with Taylor than they did with Monte. Zingbot even alluded to the fact that Monte was boring and made no real connections with anyone in the house. Those who treated Taylor poorly and lied on her knew what they did, so they based their vote on their REAL interactions with Taylor and Monte. At then end of the day, the jury was closer to Taylor. Monte was very loyal to the Pound and he was closest to Joseph (someone who was actually closer to Taylor), Kyle (his vote was influenced by Alyssa) and Terrance. Monte didn’t have the votes to win. Michael, Brittany, Alyssa, Indy, Jasmine and Joseph were NEVER going to vote for Monte. With the majority of the jury voting for Taylor, Terrance and Kyle went along with the house. Turner voted how he thought the jury would vote because he still believed the lies told about Taylor the first 2 weeks in the house and was shocked that he was the only one to vote for Monte.

I struggled to listen through the remaining 3/4 of this interview because the opening statements translated as largely evasive, disingenuous and grossly lacking self awareness. As well, and arguably I support apologies are due to Taylor Hale, absolutely, but also to the entire Big Brother fan base. Bullying of any kind is wrong, and always has been. Cyberbullying, as well, has resulted in murders, suicides and the likes! Monte and others bullied Taylor while on a nationally televised reality tv show with a strongly loyal fan base. They harassed, bullied and trash talked her to her face. What proved so much more troubling regarding Monte remains that he did so before, during, and after also kissing hugging and making out with our 1st Female African American winner of the show. A major saving grace was that he actually did take Taylor to final 2 but only because he truly believed he had a better chance of winning against her.

There's a previous episode that's filled with comments detailing all of the ways Monte's behavior was abhorrent and misogynistic - comments that were left because the hosts asked for the viewers to comment if they disagreed with their take - and yet apparently they couldn't even bother reading them? If you're going to admit to not watching the live feeds and then also not read comments on your own videos before you interview someone for a 2nd time, then why bother? To take it a step farther, it's an irresponsible use of your platform to excuse someone's behavior that you haven't taken even second to try and understand the hurt and pain caused - not just to Taylor but to a lot of your listeners. Disappointing - do better.

If Monte deserved the votes to win, he would’ve gotten them. At the end of the day, Big Brother is a social game. People will ALWAYS vote for who they like more or felt the closest to. Always. Monte just failed socially. Taylor had to play a different game from everyone in the house. She was never in a position to make "big moves." Even in her HoHs. Heck, if her alliance listened to her and had gotten out Terrence, maybe Joseph wouldn't have left the next week. She wasn’t given the win. She actively worked on building bonds with the HGs. Over and over, we are reminded that the social element of these games is more important than making Big Moves or winning a bunch of comps (a lesson we should've learned when Natalie White beat Russell Hantz in Survivor, but y'all be forgetting). I'm pretty sure juries have their minds made up in every situation. The questioning segment is more for TV. I'd be surprised if the jury ever changed their minds unless a player completely BOMBED at the final 2...which I don't think ever happened. Like, Paul was never winning. Natalie was never winning. Lane, Memphis and GinaMarie gave awful f2 performances, but they also never had a chance. I don't think Monte is evil. I think he will learn and grow with age and maturity.
