Obviously had loadsa money to throw about back then. Not only did they build a huge new compound, but had enough spare cash to make lots of really picky costly tweaks to the furniture and decor. For a start, those sofas aren't the once they settled on. I seem to recall that the titles for this series used solar flare type editing to obscure some parts of the house which had been notably altered from the time they were filmed to the time the show started.
