I had a puppy that never left my feet untill the end of his 2nd year. Then one day he jumped a deer on his own now he is my main dog. I was thinking that if he dont work he will go to a loving family cuz he is a sweet boy.

Where I grew up it was illegal to hunt deer dogs. A hunter was more likely to shoot a dog chasing a deer than the deer itself.

Love the sound of those dogs singing. Echoes through the woods. I have seen dog clubs have problems with still hunting clubs leasing land right next to them. They never seem to turn down shooting a nice buck that the dogs are running.
