The one community within the UK with a renowned West Indian community, in south London, that will always garner World-wide respect for the part we have played in giving it attention, with some gradual local government support to build this area up into a popular destination for its local people, businesses, residents in and around Brixton and Peckham. An area for tourists to visit for shopping, eating, and dining out in the vibrant Caribbean community. Just remember that there are many 'culture vultures' living off this [WI] community while not supporting its heritage, but are in it for themselves. But we will always have space, time and respect for the indigenous residents of this area who were here before the World War in mid 19th Century. [LSM]art
