Never mind the haters. Really loved the vid guys. Good angling. Echo Pool seems a fantastic place to spent a week and possibly catch a fish of a lifetime.

Because if they went to a venue that didn't have an obsurd list of rules they could zig and surface fish.

Nice vid lads .what you think of the rt4 baitboat
@onthebanklive14637 жыл бұрын
Its a good boat mate, the lowrance echo is very good and the GPS/Autopilot makes life easier when fishing at long range... I still use distance sticks to wrap the spots to be pinpoint accurate however
@theconsistentnoddy98517 жыл бұрын
Cheers for the content as usual mate, I'm sure you'll get some stick from the "puddle" brigade but I appreciate the effort involved 👌
@onthebanklive14637 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate - a lot of effort does go into the filming, especially the editing/production side. We are filming again in October on a 42 acre French pit so hopefully that will provide something a bit different as well as appeal to other tastes.

How small would a lake have to be before catching a 70lb fish would seem stupid to you?

@@onthebanklive1463 Each to their own. I get it's a vacation but it's just such a small pond. Fish location is like....they are in the lake...
@onthebanklive14632 жыл бұрын
@@jamiemarchant2687 The Garden Pond comment was tongue in cheek mate. Everyone has their own preferences on what type of water they like to fish and what they seek from a week's holiday. Redmire is tiny but people don't questions Yates UK record when it came out. The Wood Common from Spitfire Pool is also another example - small lake but rock solid. Re Echo: I can confirm despite it's size, this lake is by no means easy, in fact the smaller the water the more pressure it gets and the more difficult it is, Echo is no exception. Yes you can locate them, catching them is another thing (we had 10 all week, 1 biggie, hardly a runs water despite it's size). We just got back from fishing a 90 acre Croatia Reservoir (video up shortly on this channel) where the minimum chuck is 140 yards and location is key, and we found that easier than Echo Pool. So to your initial question, and to answer honestly, the lake size is irrelevant and catching a 70 from a tricky small lake for me has just as much merit as catching a 70 from a 100 acre pit where you dropped your rigs by rowing boat over 15kg of bait. That said, everyone has a preference and those who avoid small waters leave it open for others who enjoy them. Tight lines in any case mate

Not good is it that's a seriously bad stamp of fish for France. .👎
@onthebanklive14637 жыл бұрын
To the contrary, based on our experience the fish were in immaculate condition, we did have some of the smaller ones but the ones we did have were all pristine stunners. If you watch Briggs/Crow's videos they have managed to get into more of the lake's bigger residents, unfortunately we didn't but that's part and parcel of fishing.
