Omg I’ve been driving someone often to their house and feeling like I do not have the gas money for that. I have not said anything about it. The other night an inebriated driver crashed into my parked car and totaled it. Now I feel ok to say I cannot drive that person home, until I get a rental or new car. But I will be forced to have that conversation for the long term. I definitely feel like avoiding that conversation has played a part in my car getting wrecked. thank you so much for this video leor. My narcissist dad is really trying me during eclipes season. He's so intimidated and afraid of my power and autonomy. I stand up for myself when he verbally abuses, and that triggers the shittt out of him. He wants me to be a controllable slave, and he's so angry that I'm finally fighting back. But, it really takes a toll on my wellbeing. It's not as simple as "cut him out of my life". If I do , I basically say goodbye to my brother and mother too, since they depend on him entirely. I'm being called to find a balance of standing up for myself , while also not poking the bear. Is it possible? Can I protect myself without triggering him to lash out at me? Crazy that defending myself from his abuse enrages him... How pathetic. I'm praying to learn how to deal with him. I don't want to fight , I just want peace.
