Join me for a beautiful day at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground as we explore the grounds and check out some major updates and changes happening and also visit Walt Disney World's horse stable, the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, where you can visit the horses that work in the parks and resorts! I show you around and we talk about the changes that are currently happening and what's coming for Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, including the closing of Trail's End Restaurant and big changes to the Fort Wilderness cabins! We also have a fried chicken lunch at P & J's Southern Takeout, where we get to sit inside Trail's End and see all the decor one more time before it's changed into a completely different concept! We ride Disney ferry boats across Bay Lake and get some wonderful views too! Fort Wilderness is truly a one of a kind experience at WDW. I stayed here many times growing up as a kid and had a blast camping there. You can honestly check in here and never leave with all of the amenities at the campground.

Great video!! It may seem weird but if given the choice between a week at the Grand Floridian (or any Deluxe Resort) or a week at Ft. Wilderness in our RV, we'll choose The Fort every time. There is no substitute for sleeping in your own bed and saving money by cooking in your own kitchen while still having all the benefits of staying on property.

These changes are very sad to me. Fort Wilderness is so special. It was the first place we stayed at Disney way back in 1988. Trail’s End even smells like that trip that made me fall in love with WDW so long ago. It feels like history being lost.

One of my favorite things to do is taking a boat ride to and from Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge to the park, or just to resort hop. It's so relaxing and the views are great along the way! I'm a little bummed about Trails End, but hopefully they have the same kind of food just in quick service form. Also, those horses are living the good life at Disney, Just Sayin Lol. I also have mixed emotions on the cabins changing too! I've only stayed in them one time and loved it. Its Disneys version of Glamping Lol. The new ones look interesting, and you know they'll be themed well, so we'll see!..Fun Video Jackie 😁

One of my favorite things at the Fort is that walkway next to the 100 loop with the cabins. They usually pipe music in there❤. The Fort will never be the same without Trails End. Rumors started about the end of Trails End when they shut down Mickeys Backyard BBQ…so sad! The PJ’s take out is really good. Hope they don’t change that!

Many years ago, I worked at Fort Wilderness as one of the train engineers. We have come back here year after year in our motor home. I understand why they got rid of the train, but I still miss it going through Fort Wilderness.

I Enjoyed watching your video and I enjoyed the horses and seeing the boats and I'm glad there are places that have trails at and that you can also tent if you want to or stay in a cabin. And the horses looked so cute and that One horse carriage that was behind glass that was beautiful does he just beautiful it looked I can only imagine what it must have been like to see it go down the road being pulled by horses back in the day and the food looked delicious. Hello Jackie, I really enjoyed this vlog. I grew up around horses. I started riding them when I was 7. I have cerebral palsy. When I was young I had balance issues. When I started riding I was able to strengthen my balance. They are amazing for physical and emotional therapy. If you ever get a chance to ride them I highly recommend it. You will absolutely love it. Ok I am going to sign off. I could type 2 pages full of interesting things about them. HaHa

We made our first ever stop into the Fort Wilderness Campground during our last visit so that we could experience Hoop Dee Doo for the first time, and Katie is hooked on the vibe! I think there’s definitely a Ft. Wilderness cabin stay somewhere in our yet-undetermined future, especially now that we’ll be able to use DVC points to book 👀 Had no idea that Disney was hiding the pipe organ cart back there! 05:42 I understood that reference! 😂 It’s sad to see Trail’s End reach its Trail’s End, at least in its current iteration…but at least we still have P&J’s to lean on in our time of need! The concept art for the new cabins makes it look more West Coast modern rustic than vintage Appalachian campground that it has now. It is one of the few vestiges of the 70s resort that Disney began as, but I hope it has a whole new life ahead of it with the update.

I should probably clarify that my husband and I owned a riding stable in Austin, TX for many years and I’ve taught riding lessons for the past 25 years including coaching college riding teams so our horses are safe and it wouldn’t just be riding someone’s random (and possibly wacky) backyard horse. Hi, this was relaxing, interesting, and enjoyable 😊 Disney changes again, change is part of life, sadly and sometimes a good thing. I love horses, they are so majestic. I had a Dapple Grey Mustang Horse named Buddy back in my early 20s, had him for 5 years, he was my big Buddy 🐎🙂 Sadly, Buddy got spooked and I got thrown off once and hurt my back , head, and hip very badly. I can never ride a horse again, so my Dad forced me to sell him. I miss him still😢 However, I have heard rumors here and there that he ended as a rodeo horse. I always hope he has a full happy life. Anyway, seeing the Disney horses reminded me of my Buddy. I hope to see the Disney horses on our next trip in 2024. They are majestic and wonderful. Be Safe Take Care ❤

My family has stayed there twice, and we are going again around Thanksgiving. It's so messed up that they are taking down the cabins and making them DVC! Especially since they have all that land cleared near Trails End which was initially going to be for DVC.
