Love the idea of a more cohesive thought process for downtown, nothing seems planned. Mills for example is a bustling area on the weekends, but there is no infrastructure, hardly any crosswalks or beautification. Like come on Orlando, add some trees and a bit more safety.
@lizrodriguez38218 күн бұрын
I agree! There is so much to see and do in The Mills, but also nowhere to park. A parking garage would help tremendously.

What really concern me is that most of the bus stops here on 192 don't have a bus shade with no seats they only have the bus sign and a bench. They need the state of the art bus shade that tell you when the next bus is coming and also it would be cool if they made the bus shelter with air conditioner as you wait for the bus.
@naomibrandt32609 күн бұрын
The problem is is that when you have a bus stop with decent shade and seats it acquires permanent residence by way of individuals who either don’t want to go home or don’t have a home. There are several bus stops in our area that I don’t feel comfortable approaching Because of the people that hang out/live there.
@terrancecooley31659 күн бұрын
@@naomibrandt3260 nobody don't won't to stand at a bus stop with the sun barring down on them for like 30 minutes. At least they can build a bus shade so you can go inside just in case in might rain and have nice air conditioner inside as you wait for the bus to arrive just my opinion....

I just moved here from Chicago and it's great to see this city growing so much. Chicago has amazing architecture and I wonder if Orlando would start to grow up more adding taller buildings here? Fleshing out the city to have a smaller skyline?
@Commonsenseisnotcommon88 күн бұрын
Orlando needs to worry on their mass transfer infrastructure. They literally have three train systems. I don’t know if the sun rails considered train or light tram but whatever. And only one of them connect to the airport. And none of them go out to Port Canaveral to the cruise terminals except for the bright line and it still doesn’t go all the way out. Unless they get some more trains around there, they’re the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen other trains. Go to the theme park either. And they don’t run at night and they don’t run on the weekends. Come on your whole city is built on tourism why would you not have stuff running at night and on the weekends and to your airport and to your major theme parks. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

So far NEOCITY is a dud for Osceola County. Locals have no idea what's going on over there and there is virtually no attempt to alleviate traffic along highway 192. There are homes being built but none in the actual NEOCITY. If you want to work in that area anticipate hours of extra driving, few new shopping opportunities and huge numbers of current residents complaining about what seems like out of control growth. The county says they are managing controlled growth but very few believe that.
