Never seems to fail that as soon as I cut my Tithonia windbreak we would get weeks of heavy winds. I started planting rows and taking them out in intervals and doing something similar to what you showed where you prune parts of them. 🤙

Haha that definitely happens to me as well. I'm sure we'll get some good winds before summer really sets in. I've learned to be happy with just staying on top of management at this point.

I also propagate the mexican sunflower from smaller branches and they grow great. I plant them horizontal on the ground. I used to do it vertical but more of them don´t grow.

It would be cool to see the chop and drop in action with a tripod or a body mount camera or just have someone film (get a wireless clip on mic if you do this).
