Weird little piece of trivia but the Proton that you see at the front here was recently wrecked beyond repair at this same track exiting the same corner last year. I was at both that event and this one. Weird coincedence Steve Rothery who is the one rolling the Clio still races to this day, in a Peugeot TCR car

This is why drafting (especially in the wet and on the outside of all places) right before a turn doesn't work. If a driver has low grip behind another car then he should barely be on the throttle at this point on the track. Guess some people have to learn the hard way, don't they?

Gloves are actually mandatory in MSA events as of 1st Jan 2012.

@nickforthetitle He did lift, you can clearly hear the revs go down. And you are not supposed to take your hands away from the wheel, if you take them of you risk smashing them into something, if you are holding the wheel you can brace yourself for the impact.

it is the barc sec tin tops championship. it was going to be a good race till that point never mind i won the re-run of the race a few weeks later ! :)

You're supposed to take your hands off the wheel so you don't break your fingers if the wheel gets turned quickly.

why is it that when there is a huge wreck in motorsport, they seem to never record it from the outside, i mean they showed the end from the outside but not the full accident. all the cameras they have and they missed it, or if they did catch it they didnt show it!

And when the cars race over the track, you dont think the water is moved to the outside of the road where there are no cars racing. And if more water creates more grip, why is there aquaplanning?

You can see this was an amateur; he tried to overtake on the outside on a WET road, colder tyers, and even no gloves... Shame of the car
