My favorite rapper ever. My first tape i ever bought was Kane's. That was in 1989. I was a kid but his lyricism and ability to use metaphors and analogies were unlike none other at the time. Him and Rakim were my favorites but Kane was from Brooklyn where I was born so no doubt he had home team advantage. By the way. He had the forest dancers too. Scoob and Scrap were the best of the best and the stuff they used to do was crazy. Dudes used to dance their @$$3$ off

That was a flawless Doug E. Fresh impersonation, considering Big Daddy Kane's normal voice is 40 octaves lower.

Absolute LEGEND! Kane and Rakim are responsible for MASSIVE leaps forward in the culture (especially pivoting Mainstream to Hip-Hop), on a consistent basis. There were others who were 1-or-a-couple hit wonders, but KANE's (and Rakim's) contribution is SO important. Love his humility! Humble Rapper! I grew-up in Brownsville, Brooklyn, and KANE will always be one of my idols! Long Live KANE!
