She is a beauty especially with the regulator gauge and included silencer 👍 On sale she is unbeatable value, the M11 will have the same regulator as the M22 and M25 and if you don't like the stock Belleville washers in it you can easily swap it out for a lane or huma air regulator, for more consistent FPS. Also the metal baffles inside the silencer can be replaced with hair curler/felt wraps with M8 washers for much better silencing. The bolt is glorious and has a ball bearing tensioner near the rear end which can be adjusted to make the action even easier. Having an adjustable hammer spring on the back is awesome and with the regulator gauge let's you tune the rifle very well. For £220 she is amazing value with a wealth of features, easy to strip down and a pleasure to shoot with the massive bolt and magazine 10/10 👌

Just bought a mk1 today and i am gutted that the new one gives 200 shots and mine does 80. Just put some HN trophy through it and they where all over the place, i did also get the pellets jammed in the mag but soon realised that you need to seat them right in. Good reveiw dan i will get some practice in tomorrow and see how she goes all the best and keep up the good reviews.
@bigdansairguns836 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, the older M11 was a great rifle 80 shots per fill is still pretty good and if my older SMK M22 was anything to go by the consistency on the older regulators was superb. As you've mentioned though the barrels are pellet fussy and the newer M11 is no different in that regard, try some AA Field 4.52 pellets my old M22 loved them and they seemed to group fairly well with the new M11. Good luck Robert and let us know how you get on.

Hi Dan i bought the m30 last year when it came out,I tried Upteen pellets through it stripped it down removed machine marks polished the bolt etc.but what was annoying it was consistent over the chrony ending sending it back and bought a Zobria kossak compact which has been brilliant sorry both guns are 177 so I put it down to crap barrel I have seen other reviews said the same but I did like the gun and concept. Regards Robin
@bigdansairguns835 жыл бұрын
Hi Robin, unfortunately it sounds like that was one of the few with the dodgy barrels I'm afraid. The Kozak is an excellent little rifle but make sure to get it chronographed.. if your RFD hasn't checked it over then there's odds that it may be quite hot. If it is get in touch with me via my website bigdansairguns.co.uk and I'll talk you through sorting it out. Thanks Robin and I'm sorry to hear about the dodgy M30.

Hi Dan just saw your review,it's all very well that Artemis rifles are good value but what's the point when they are not that accurate I had the m30 liked the gun but could not get it to group at all I think the problem is the barrels are crap.
@bigdansairguns835 жыл бұрын
Hi Robin, Sorry to hear that you had issues with your M30. Can I ask when it was when you purchased your M30 and which calibre/pellets you tried through it? The reason I ask is that we had a dodgy batch of barrels and regs a while back and although SMK/Artemis where extremely quick to fix the issues a few of them unfortunately slipped through the net. The older barrels could also be pretty pellet fussy and most even today are still full of packing grease out of the box which can cause them to be erratic until they've been run through. Although I can only shoot at 25 yards in my more recent videos take a look at my Artemis M16 review and you'll see what they're capable of.. and that's with a dirty barrel as well! Thanks Robin.

@marvas894 жыл бұрын
I own a M11 Mk2 and can't understand, why you are complaining about the missing holes in the trigger guard for adusting the trigger. Obviously you didn't take off the stock. Then you would have realised that there are no screws for adjusting the trigger. To adjust the trigger you have to either take off the trigger assembly or to remove the pins to take the trigger parts out. Then you are able to reach the 3 adjusting screws. Another thing i have to complain about your video is that you didn't try to shoot without silencer. Maybe this could have improved accuracy. I agree with the safety... it is just a child safety, like in most other chinese air guns.

How do I fill up a mk1 m11 with a hand pump?

Hi Levi! Attach your probe to the end of your pump whip and then plug it into the end of the air cylinder near the gauge. If you spin the tip of the cylinder it'll expose the fill port.

My Artemis M11 Mk2 was returned after 3 weeks with a 6 foot pounds power output, a three stage trigger (!!!), an air leak, a totally inoperative regulator, a self dismantled hammer spring abutment screw, a damaged air reservoir, and the original unreliable bolt cocking action fault still firmly in place! It cost me £120 with a renowned independent gunsmith to diagnose these faults. Disappointing to say the very least. I am awaiting a reply to the complaint I made via the SMK website. Has anyone got an email address for Sportsmarketing please?
@bigdansairguns836 жыл бұрын
Wow.. I won't lie Steve I've never heard of a gun being sold in that condition before!! How on earth did it pass QC? Did you get it new or used? If new you need to send it back to the shop you bought it from and get them to list all of the faults so they can send it back to SMK, hopefully with a rifle in that condition they should offer you a one for one exchange from SMK. In this sort of situation Steve I'd rather give them a call than send an Email, the best bet is to get in touch on 01206 795333 and they'll sort you out.
@stevejeffcoat76725 жыл бұрын
@@bigdansairguns83 I contacted SMK and they totally blanked me. Invalidated warranty. They then accused me of tampering with the trigger. Safety Note: Unless three washers are used under the head of the front stock screw on my gun it damages the air reservoir which is mighty dangerous. Been waiting over a month for the spare reservoir I ordered from SMK. Never never ever again will I buy an SMK product. Their customer service is utterly diabolical.

@@stevejeffcoat7672 I'm sorry to hear that Steve, SMK like most companies will scrub the warranty if the rifle has been disassembled which is possibly what has happened here. Regarding the reservoir we are currently waiting for a new shipment of rifles/spares I believe so they'll probably send you a new one out when they come in. I'd give them another call and ask them what's going on and if possible get a tracking number for the order.

only problem I see is this and other Artemis are in same price group as more known rifles like coyote , phox and for a bit more the RM8 hmmmm
@bigdansairguns836 жыл бұрын
All of those are excellent rifles but the Artemis has its own advantages over those such as a far greater shot count than the Phox (80 sub 12) and the Rotex (180 sub 12 according to manufacturer data). Plus the M11 has a much better trigger than the Walther which feels more like a single stage unit than a true two stage. The M11 is also a bit lighter than the RM8 although heavier than the Phox. The M11 easily holds its own against the RM8 and the Phox in my opinion but if weight is a concern then the Phox will be a better choice.

Big Dan, I am an old geezer so please don't think that I think I know it all, because I don't! However I loved your warts and all honest review style, your verbal presentation is fun and interesting but your production needs a little work e.g. Sound and camera work especially camera position, try to get the camera in a position where we can see the pellets hit the target, if your camera does not have much zoom and you have to place it quite close to the target knock up a shield for the camera, you can use 4 to 6mm glass cut from an old aquarium, 10mm glass will stop a rim fire but distorts the view a bit, just cut a square to cover the lens in case of ricochet and another to cover the side facing your shooting position having seen your ingenious stick fixing them in place should be no problem. So Big Dan you have made a subscriber out of me, the suggestions I have suggested are just that and in no way criticisms I would still watch your channel if you changed nothing ! I wish you all the best and every success keep up the good work! One more thing, any rifle I have had that is pellet fussy always seems to group well with JSB Exact heavy diablo 10.34 grains in .177. they do a .22 version but it is not the same shape and although they are good do not always suit every gun like the .177 version has so far.
@bigdansairguns835 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, thanks for the response all criticisms are noted mate as I've said for a while we won't get better without your input. We've got some plans regarding the camera and sound equipment and hopefully you'll be noticing a pretty big improvement soon. With our last few reviews we've been having the camera placed far closer to the target so you guys and girls can get a better look at the target. Thanks Mark! As always though we're always open to criticism so fire away if you see anything else that needs changing.

Hello Big Dan thanks for the reply, as I stated "not criticisms, Suggestions".
