💕All of that Free wood from the tree’s you cut down can be stacked & stored away for a year to be used in one of the many log burners you have in the chateau💕When you walk through the wooded area’s you can collect fallen twigs or chop up unwanted wood to use as kindling💕

Busy little bees now. Glad you get to go for an evening meal. Essential now you are so busy! Change of scenery is always nice. I went to IKEA this week, visited grandkids at their new abode in Richmond. I then stayed in Ballarat for a night. Bye for now until the weekend! ❤️🇦🇺News about Sam Murphy. Her phone with cards intact was found near a dam in Durham Lead. Those dogs are unbelievable how clever they are finding phones, SIM cards etc. let’s hope they find her soon!🙏

It is so satisfying to watch your channel because the work is progressing so quickly and there is always something new to see. It's so good to get the overgrowth taken care of and let the light in. Not cheap to do either taking down trees. You will have plenty of firewood for next year though. It's exciting to see so much being done and so close to having your private space ready to move in to. I was hoping to see a bit more of the Chapel ceiling, I was sure there would be a bigger hole cut through the drop ceiling below it lol

@@brettthomas6020 The perfect day to do it on too, so exciting for you. (and for me) you need to cover the hole after to stop cooking humidity from rising to the top and compromising the paint, probably the reason they put in the drop ceiling was to protect the dome.

Place Blue Painter's tape full length on both sides of marble, mark your cut on center of tape, then cut with a water saw to prevent marble edges from chipping. ❤️🙏

The lovely painting and frame you touched up is of Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband. If the door swing then handles fittings go vertical. If the door or drawer slides out, the handle is horizontal….if that helps make future decisions ❤. As always…..fantastic progress. You guys are FAST

Always a shame to loose a tree, yet perhaps Brett might plant some Australian tree species in the grounds of the Château? Eucalyptus, wattle (mimosa) etc - these are readily available in France. Trees that remind him of Australia and that are native to the Otway Ranges.

Yes we have got some Eucalyptus already. Cutting back the tree meant that the Chateau doesn’t get suffocated by it. The sun can hit the walls, can dry out spots and opens up the view onto it.
