BIG (Directors Cut 2009)

BIG is the producer and directorial debut of Brad Douglas. Shot on location in central Oregon in 2009, this independent short (29:00) chronicles the journey of an LA film crew in search of actual Bigfoot footage for a documentary they're trying to complete before a film festival deadline. Director Julie (Sarah Chipowsky), Producer Reese (Sven Holmberg) and aspiring actor Blake (Dwight Slade) are accompanied by Sasquatch expert Mia (Marlyn Mason) and mountain man Ted (Ted Hiller) into the wilderness on horseback to track down the legendary creature and end up with more than they hoped for. BIG was filmed over a 5 day period at a production cost of $25,000 and premiered to a sold out audience in 2009 at the Bend Festival in Oregon.
