Man I have two buttikoferi they are really badass. Never expected that butti are this aggressive. My giant Gourami is scared of them which is almost twice as big of them actually .

wow that's crazy I have a 12 inch green terror and a 9 inch butti and they fight like crazy as of the now the gt is king of the tank but pretty soon the butti will kick his ass he's already starting to get really mean probably the meanest cichlid I've ever owned

Jacob Chrem mine too,once my FH dominated over my butti and midas,i though butti is useless but then 2 monts later as my butti get bigger FH and midas in the corner with so much scar in their body and i think i underestimated butti 😶

@@pranav8518 oh yeah that's forsure. I don't have either my butti or gt anymore but at the time I eventually gave the butti his own 125 and moved the gt in with some other fish

I feel like buttikoferi are underestimated in terms of aggression. I'd say they're the most aggressive cichlid with dovii being a close second. buttie are aggressive but they dont always win fights they are nasty but ive seen red devil take them down, devil are not as aggressive

Chris Leon Devils just don't give up. Which surprisingly plays a big part in fights with cichlids.

Butti's are very aggressive but the meanest cichlid I've seen was the five spot fasciatus cichlid.. Pure evil.....
