After centuries of peace the Daleks invade the galaxy. Caught up in the war is Susan Mendes (Sarah Mowat) who along with the other survivors of Vega 6 is forced to work in the underground mines the Daleks have dug to extract veganite.

Made with Carrara 6, Crazytalk 6 and edited in Sony Vegas. I had previously uploaded two other video adaptions from the same audio but have removed them because I didn't want to have too many animations from the same audio up on my site at the same time.

I love this, it's rare that we see a story where a Dalek and a human have a conversation together. It really shows just how alien the Dalek thought process is to us humans, and how they have trouble understanding basic human needs like eating and sleeping, and why they're vital to humans. It almost seemed like the Dalek Supreme cared about Susan (I so wanted it to be revealed she was Susan Foreman), but of course he was just trying to understand her for the Emperor's plans. :D

Very well done. I like it that the Daleks are aggressive, assertive and demanding as they were in the 60's and 70's. They are evil and very focused. Sadly on the TV show in NSD episodes, the Daleks seem feable. Good story, script and sound track.

Hi there. NSD = New Series Dalek. The new look Daleks which came out when Dr Who was revised. (not to be confused with the last version of over-sized bulging, hunchback looking Daleks). The NSD look good but given their technology and development, seem to get undone quite simply. They also don't show the aggressive, sinister and determined persona, of the older Daleks.

I never liked the idea of the Emperor being immobile. The Emperor I always liked was the Golden Emperor from the Dalek comics from the 1960's. And I always think an Emperor should have a voice similar to Daleks, they always seem more humanoid like in voice. o_o

a case can be made that the more individual a dalek is from its race, the closer they get to sounding/acting like Davros, so assuming its truly the original emperor, a humanoid voice would indicate its belief in being more than just a dalek

@android65mar I keep wondering why the Emperor needs an over sized head dome with eye stick, yet the creature can see through a glass tube. It's a bit redundant.

Imagine if the daleks were actually smart: treating their slaves in a way that makes them feel free, preparong secretely to exterminate all, but all believe that they have changed and that the doctor is just a bully that hunts them out of sadistical need to satosfy his bloodlust... now that would be terrifying
