*Bought a 500 for an ultralight rod. It's very smooth **enjoyable.fishing** recommend casts great. One odd thing- the bale wire is a bit heavy diameter in my opinion for a reel of this size. But a great purchase.*

I have 3 surf rods which are Airwave 10’, Airwave Elite 10.5’ and Trophy II 9’. I love Airwave Elite 10.5’ and I haven’t had a chance to use Trophy II yet but so far I like what I see. I would say Trophy II 10’ for budget, Airwave Elite for mid and SaltX if you want to spend extra money.

Just bought a SaltX Reel. Both sizes now go for only $300 bananas. Being a NYorker i wanted to buy online but out of state. Reason is NO tax collected. I first bought from Jersey but they hit me with $25 tax (nj collects for ny). I said frig that and canceled the order. So i ended up buying from "AllTackle" in Maryland. Free shipping and NO tax (so i saved $25). Cost me $299.99 grand total. They shipped it to me in 3 days. Good deal!

I bought the 6000 about 4 months ago and haven't used it yet. Wanted it to take a trip to C.C.C. and the pandemic did away with my plans. Have some nice rods to go with it. I also have a stradic c5000 that I pair with the Dark Matter rod from J and H tackle. That's a good rod. You should try it out.

Same thing happened to my airwave last year at west end 2 Jones beach. Went to cast and it broke into 2 pieces. Brought it back to causeway and they gave me a brand new one. Said it was probably just a manufactures defect

Don't know anything about the reels from Tsunami but I d know about their rods. Owned at least four and that's where I stop, all four had some type of problem and two of them blow up just like you on a cast. Did love using them but now I'm own custom Rainshadow rods and those rods have handled some shit 🤣🤣🤣 Love the vids bro, keep up the great work

Tsunami airway elite 10' 1-4 oz best bang for the buck and it definitely won't explode like that rod. It's unfortunate out of all the tsunami rods you could have bought you bought the biggest piece of junk they make.

This is the reason why I no longer use Tsunami Air Wave rods. Mine broke on my second cast. Now I go to Lamiglass, St.Croix, Dark Matters, or ODM.

@@GetReelBassFishing I also had a Tsunami conventional rod just snap when trying to break off from a snag bottom fishing for fluke. Their products have just not been satisfactory for me for the most part. I now have an ODM DNA surf rod and it is handling itself very well

nice video man. i knew you would go for the saltx 4k good choice. i just purchased my 2nd saltx rod 2hrs ago. such a great rod and its wayyyyy under priced. i have the 10'm matched with van staal 200x and i just got my 8'6m for my new spinfisher vi 4500 bailless and what a good match up. i was going to actually purchased the saltx reel but they run a little on the heavy side and i wanted a 2nd setup on the lite side. i also have the 11' air-wave elite which is such a great rod when i really need the distance but i can pretty much do the same with the 10'm saltx. trust me man check out the saltx rod 10'm your going to love it with that reel. good luck on that reel man
