Reminds me of when I worked at camel lairds on the Mersey. One of the docks was full of mullet,I used to feed them bread. I brought a telescopic back with me ,and one of the locals brought his gear in. @theawfulangler yes my friend yesterday at Tunstall it was bloody awful. Absolute waste of time. I was so peed off just to see the state of the sea and the wind. Literally travelled 80 miles for nowt. But then it's fishing, lol. I happen to like makro a lot now. It's full of flatties at least, and there is always a chance for a good bass or cod. My friend who lives in withensea has told me that a big thorny should be cooked in the oven and it taste much much better. It is something I will try at some point.

The way you are going Alex you are going to have to change your channel name soon to the bloody good angler. As for catch and cook I'm all for it as long as it's not a seagull, rat or that condom you hooked a while back. Never eaten a ray and don't think I would either as there are much nicer fish out there. The last time I did a catch and cook the Mrs complained about the mess and it turned into a fight, she was ok but 2 cod got battered. I do cook a nice lobster though but last time when I turned my back it's claw came out of the pot and turned off the gas. Nice to see you out and about doing the business, take care buddy.
