When comparing any rapper it depends on what you running on. I don’t understand how most people compare these rappers. Because right now which rapper is in the movies and doing other things outside of rap. Because by that comparison you would have ludacris. He would be the best. Because that’s how they say Tupac is the greatest. Tupac or any rapper should be compared on rap only. Movies, theatre or being a part of some institution or leader of a group all that shit is not rap. And how many records you sold, or whose record label was major and who was low budget or how many records you made. That dont decide who is the greatest. Why because let’s keep it real. The artist today take Eminem. He got lots of records he is the top selling artist. But who is buying ems music now? I bet anyone white people are the highset percent in purchasing his music. I don’t no many people including myself I stopped buying ems music since Eminem show. All the other shit after don’t catch me. Tupac u stopped buy his music once the last joint he dropped with Jon B. All the other shit didn’t catch me cuz it isnt him. Don’t matter how much shit is dropped because when you look at it in the end you gonna see with every album dropped there is a decline somewhere not in sales and but in its production and the process taken to create good music. Marvin Gaye greatest as a vocalist song writer and the man had only a couple solo albums. But his music is held at a high standard and that’s because the quality in production. Marvin’s voice is unmatched. Marvin has only a couple albums and still his music stands above all and im sure other artist outsold Marvin but still he’s talked about more than the others. Had biggie not been apart of that west east fake beef. Everyone would have liked him. Why because his quality of music out of so little albums made is classic just like Marvin’s. Raekwon Ghostface and many others have said big is hip hops Marvin Gaye. It took me awhile to think this out and that’s why I say had big not been apart of that beef he would stand as the greatest and it’s true. The reason it isn’t and no one talks about it is because he was brought into a situation that want really his problem. It was suges and puffs. Wasn’t even pacs problem he was suges dog and suge was ordering his dog to attack. But Tupac has lots of fans. They are so loyal that that they believe the beef was real. It wasn’t. Because if it was I honestly believe at the times they seen each other it would have been on. I’m from the 90s era. Those of you from that era. If it’s a real situation isn’t it gonna go down? 9x out of 10. It went down. These guys weren’t close to one another it was the people in front of them doin all the barking. But back to my point on the greatest. Take Michael Angelo the painter. Their was many more out their as great as he was but Michael Angelo stood out more and he was pushed like Tupac because he was great in other things. He created things. He knew the anatomy of the human body at a time nobody did. He wasn’t just a Painter. But he is just like Tupac in his own time. But there are other painters who were just painters that still have priceless work and their name is mentioned with Michael Angelo. Micheal Angelo had a biblical connection and that’s why he is T the top
