Big Gipp oozes that Atlanta swagger. Atlanta has never taken a backseat to anyone when it comes to music and they can say what they want but when Dre said The South Got Something To Say he meant that and it still stands till this day!!! ATL Shawty all day everyday . PLEASE BELIEVE IT 🎤

My favorite part of the view was the 5 second call he made to Dre. "Three. How ya movin? Out da way. Back streets. Never the front." Made my whole day. Gipp is a icon of cool. Always has been. The whole DF is walkin talkin legends live and direct. God bless em, Lord have Mercy. A-Town stompin.

Real talk, they miss out on plenty stories trying to stick to questions they had, they have to know when a guest is just giving up info without you pulling it out of them when they are quiet guest
@c.l.smooth29 Жыл бұрын
This is the problem with most platforms like these, they don't let the guest expound on their narrative, they rather interject to hear themselves when people are tuning in for the Guest not them, Respectfully!

As a East Coast hip hop head I rocked with Goodie Mob from Cell Theroy on. Diversity has been a staple of hip hop from the start and the South contribution to that has always been respected.
@theodorebennefield2022 Жыл бұрын
Funny. I'm from Atllanta and im a real hip hop head. I like all the East Coast classics: The infamous, hell on earth, reasonable doubt, it was written, east coast 2pac, etc. The only new rappers i can stomach today are griselda.
@carltonbanks5470 Жыл бұрын
New Orleans always had straight lyricist that never got due respect due to east coast bias. Tim Smooth, MC Thick , Big Mike back in the early 90s just to name a few.

Jean Carne, one of the most beautiful voices ever to come along. Gipp was in the presence of musical geniuses and royalty. He learned from and was influenced by the best in the business. As a young girl at the age of 12 and hearing for the first time Ms. Nancy Williams, I was blown away. So I can imagine the impact all of these people had on him at such a young age. Gipp was in the presence of the greatest who helped him walk into his purpose - music and entertainment. Great lessons and experiences!

Had a Cousin that went to Mays High School early early 90’s. He was in a Crew called the YEZ Boys. I remember they wore green and White Polo and Nautica Gear. From the Pictures he showed me. He also ran with Khudjo Goodie. I was 5 Years younger then him, and his stories about Atlanta used to amaze me. Sounded like it was nothing but Chocolate Love in The ATL❤️🖤🤎
