BIG GLAMOROUS CURLS WITH GHD

This is the first of 3 "How to Curl Your Hair" tutorias where I show you how to use different tools and techniques to achieve beautiful long lasting curls.
In this video, I'm using the GHD Soft Curl Tong with a technique I think works best/quickest for this type of curler. There's no need to use clips to hold the curls and they easily last at least 2 days (I wish I remembered to say theses things when I recorded it - still a total newbie!).

It looks awesome. I love your videos ❤️ I want to buy this curling tong but I am worried that the curls won't last long. I wash my hair twice a week so I need the curls to last at least 3 days. Please advise if this is the product to chose or do you know of a better one? I live in South Africa so we do not have a wide variety of products to chose from. Please help.

I brought this curlier about a year ago and have been trying your technique for ages but my hair doesn’t seem to hold curls I’ve just watched a GHD stylist curl a clients hair with this tool but starting at the roof of the hair wrapping the hair round the styler and then using the clamp so all the hair is clamped in :) just tried this on my self and cut is going strong! I love your videos so much! Just if anyone is struggling try the technique from GHD :) x

Hi, thanks!!! The colour I've mixed were: 6.13 - Dark Ash Gold Blonde (1/2) + 9.13 - Very Light Ash Gold Blonde (1/2) with L'Oréal Professionnel DIACTIVATEUR 9 Vol (2.7%) This video was recorded about 5 weeks after I've done the color so it's faded and became a bit warmer and lighter x

I have Asian thick hair so my curls last really long. I haven’t tried it on any of my friends’s fine hair but believe it won’t last as long as this is more loose waves. It depends what you’re after?

Hi, My curls don’t stay long. I have very curly hair. So, I straighten them first and then use your method to have soft curls but the curls go away even next day. Could you suggest how I can keep them for long time. My hair are fine textured, curly and fizzy. Thanks 😊❤️ I even tried not straightening first and doing your method but still the same result. It isn't easy for me to decide on classic curl tong or soft curl tong. Can you give me an advice? I don't have thick hair and maybe with the soft curl tong the curls are not long lasting but on you they are very tighter 😍

I really loved your first video, I ordered all the products you used and now I'm waiting for them to be delivered and then fix my horrible yellow/orange ombre :(... I want to ask you, how often do you tone your hair with those products? And also, your hair looks a lot lighter now, did you bleach it since or how did you achieve this color? Thanks very much, that means a lot to me! I tone my hair to refresh the color after about 6-8 weeks but it was never that orange again. Purple shampoo will keep it ashy. I've bleached my hair twice since the first video and will make another tutorial when I do it again as it's a bit more complicated to explain in short. The color I used at the ends is Iridescent Iced Milkshake (9.12) and the roots Dark Ash Gold Blonde (6.13) mixed with Very Light Ash Gold Blonde (9.13) 50/50. Let me know how it goes! If it doesn't change your hair much, you probably have to bleach it lighter xx

Your hair colour in this video is a lot like how mine turned out when I tried to get it to a greyed look. Maybe I should stick to the blond I think they grey ash is harder for me to accomplish.

Grey or silver is super difficult. Your hair needs to be lighter than this to achieve it 😊

My hair is so straight, fine, and smooth that my curls won’t last. Not sure if texture spray will help but would try next time. Any tips? Is it better to have freshly washed hair or can it be overnight hair before styling the next morning?

Errrrrr.....NOT a good idea to use scorching hot curling tongs with so much "exposed" skin!! I always cover up my skin well and sometimes even use a thin chiffon scarf tied around my neck if I'm working close to the neck hairline. Yeah, you can feel a bit warm, but it's SO MUCH better than an ugly (and very painful) burn mark on your neck. Burn marks can leave a scar also!!!!
