Big Glider - Big Wind - Big Launch

Pour tous ceux parmi vous, qui aiment les vols des GPR non seulement en terrain, mais aussi en vol de pente, dans une nature grandiose, avec un vent féroce, et un lanceur costaud et courageux (merci Eric), c`est le moment de regarder cette vidéo. Elle a été réalisée avec l`aide de 3 caméramen (Peter II, Michel et Jean Luc) et la musique de Slow Dancing Societey. Grand merci à eux !!

Quelle splendeur cette superbe grâcieuse grande plume obéissant au Maître Pilote Robby, portée par un Eole musclé dans ce haut lieu du VDP. Je suis totalement d'accord avec ta vision des choses: rien de plus beau que de faire et voir voler son grand planeur à hauteur des yeux pour en apprécier sa beauté ! Mais il faut une parfaite symbiose entre le pilote et la plume; et toi tu l'as, Robby ! Bravo à toute l'équipe sans laquelle on ne pourrait pas vivre ces moments qui font rêver.

I absolute see the thrill in this part of rc flying, I do fly rc models my self, but also beeing a full scale glider pilot my self, only add on the facination when i see those semi scale gliders soar! i live in the wrong contry for this sport sadly.. Denmark is to flat!

You won`t Michael. At Denmark`s west coast there are beautiful spots to fly "close to the edge" over high dunes.

Since I flew my first balsa gliders on the south slope of West-Berlin's 'Teufelsberg' in 1978. I love it. Your flying style is wonderful, harmonious, smooth, full of dynamics. You let these magnifique models have their way. You do not disturb them, gently give them their direction and let them fly as if you were painting with them in the sky. Merci beaucoup Lars. In fact you`re right. I let them fly, giving only a few corrections by piloting. You`ll never admire the whole beauty and grace of an original big glider by sitting in it. My nose is at the same hight as the real pilote one. But the glider itself is only seen by myself...my world !!!

As we say on the slopes of Auckland - with wind at that speed, you can easily fly a drain-cover ! But who would want to when you can fly one of the most gorgeously sexy big r/c sailplanes in the world !
