So, after almost 20 years of wondering and searching, I FINALLY found the song that got stuck in my head when listening to KTYD in the summer of 1993 during my daily drive to UCSB from Ventura. I couldn't remember the artist, just a melodic hook at the end of the chorus involving the word ‘circle’. I thought the lyric (and title) might have been 'Full Circle', but my searches always got confused with the band. Man, that’s a mental itch that feels good to finally be scratched. TWENTY YEARS!!

Soul Asylum was billed as the headliner, and they were really good, but BIg Head Todd and the Monsters actually played last, which was great, because it could not have been a better way to end the show!! @@johnrod007 Right on . I also went to lalapooza 2 ,in upstate NY , red hot , chilli Peps, Alice n chains, nirvana, Jesús y Mary Chaín , lots up grunge rock bands , good times , psybicillan shrooms , I think it was 87' when went to Live aid in the Giants stadium in NJ , Stones , U2, Santana , Peter Gabriel, myles Davis , Howard Jones , was crazy like 9 hours long str8 músic , buddy worked lighting for U2 Joshua tres tour that was during that and got my friend AND i in free , hotel free, and i was backstage peeked through the curtain about 5 minutes before opening band who i can't remember so many different bands but crazy to have 75000 people hollerin when i stuck my head through the curtain , might have been some obscure band like the wallflowers that played 1st , can't Remember all of then. Even Yoko Ono Sang a couple off key Tunes some dude threw a frisbee AND missed her head by inches . Was in about the third Row all day after they ushered me a my buddy off the stage after giving peace sign to crowd through the curtain. It was like in the 90s° AND they we're using a fire hose to cool down the crowd in front because a couple people passed out from heat. I saw a picture in Time magazine AND i couldn't see my face but i had no shirt on AND was waving my t-shirt around in the air like the insane cat i was in the day and definately can see my arm and t-shirt in the photo in Time magazine. So many concerts in life . Stones in shea stadium on Halloween in around 89' had a Grim reaper costume on , tore my seat out and sold it for 20$ on the way out of shea, should have saved it . I remember a Little after that Billy Joel played last show there before they tore down the old shea stadium. Santana 4 times between the ágora ballroom in Hartford Connecticut in 84' AND last time about 3 years ago again at outdoor venue in Ct. Stevie Ray Vaughan in great woods Massachusetts months before His plane crash. Last greatful dead show i saw in highgate vt. An extra 20,000 PPL knocked fence down to enter in 1st hour of show . J geils band was my 1st concert. Zz tipo a couple times , the cure in 85' at Roger Williams college in Rhode isñand , black Sabbath AND blue oyster cult , Roger waters a couple times , played half pink Floyd Tunes as did robert plant played half the show with led Zeppelin songs . Def Leppard , U2 múltiple shows , Eminem, the insane clown posee , Mac Miller , the list goes on some of the best concerts we're the entire weekend reggae fests in Vermont each year from 90-97 AND the bread AND puppet circus in Vermont before raves got crazy AND they stopped those crazy outdoor gigs way up Vermont . Had to have 100,000 PPL or More for the entire weekend invade small farm towns such as hardwick vt or North beach in Burlington vt had to be one of the best my 1st reggae fest at 23 years old. Never ends , hoping to see a few More shows before death. Big head Todd at Stowe mountain with Allman bros was excellect . Hope to see bad bunny , post Malone AND anyone else i can . Staind in Springfield Mass before they we're huge , i problaby forgot More than double of what listed . Even saw the Stones show up at Toads place in New Haven AND wasn't a sheduled show or at least they didn't announce it as it was a warm up stop during steel wheels tour , Santana at the ágora ballroom in 84 was quite possibly the best Time i ever had at a bar with about 1000-1200 PPL showed up with a shirt AND tie by end of concert was topless with bottle of Budweiser in each hand . Jumped out of airplanes 9 times and hit 90 foot doubles at moto x races but never got the Rush of some of those shows . Life Is short. Live it.

Just something about the 90's music that was so captivating. A lot of the bands didn't need heavy production because their music could carry itself. Too many bands these days are using too much digital production and effects to "enahnce" their music...and in the end it loses its feeling and emotion. BHT always reminded me of Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals. Very raw, very bluesy, and very powerful. Would have loved to see BHT, Ben Harper, and Pearl Jam together back in the day.

Exactly , speaking of blues i believe it's why they opened up for the blues traveler AND Allman bros in vt in the early 90s when i first saw them when they had bitersweet, AND circle two of thier top 5 jams on the billboard charts off whatever album it was they put out in early 90s . Maybe it was thier debut albut album ? Not sure but they were my favoite band at that show AND only were the warmup band , didn't know who they were before seeing them live , AND as i said the tickets were for the blues traveler AND Allman bros even though the Allman bros were great AND More famous i believe bighead Todd AND the monsters were the highlight of a show that had 2 More great bands . Sitting on the Hill of ski slope at Stowe with a chainlink fence to try AND keep people who didn't have tix from getting in , múltiple people climbed over the chainlink fence to get in AND would run down the ski slope AND take off shirt to dissapear into the crowd . But one dude Man the crazy security guard chased this kid down the Hill AND Made a diving Tackle at full speed downhill taking the poor dude down in the ditch where the snowguns go up the side of the ski slope . I never really looked but it was a flying Tackle at full sprint. Someone had to have gotten hurt or been real sore after that. Imagine a security guy that would do that over one dude climbing the fence to avoid what was like a 15$ entry fee at the time? Absolutly insane. These days that would be a big lawsuit, it's like a cop that would run a bike or car off the road for failing to stop over a speeding ticket or shooting a fleeing suspect in the back that was running away over a misdeameanor of some Sort . Way over the top . AND the security guy could have broke His own body as well as they went flying tumbling into the ditch where the snow making equipment lines the Edge of the slope into the a 3 foot ditch running downhill at 15 to 20mph est. ? One of the craziest things i saw at a concert . AND i saw a Lot of fked up stuff over those years in the late 80s AND 90s with some shows having hospital tents for all the injuries AND people freaked out dosing at reggae fest in Burlington vt for example . Mosh pits that got people wrecked at lalapooloza , crowdsurfers that got tossed to ground , someone jumped off upperdeck to floor at a stadium show i was at, i wasn't there but the worse one i heard and read about was when the hells angels ran security for i think what was a rolling Stones show AND someone or or a couple got killed by overzealous security . The world Is soft now , that's when shows were crazy during the best years of concerts growing up in 80s AND 90s .

Yup , blind melón a other band they opened up for in the 90s AND should have been the main gig. I see it over and over comments of them warming up only to steal the show as they did when i didn't know who they we're in 93' warming up for the blues traveler.
@seanslattery6366 Жыл бұрын
Seems like we all remember bighead Todd warming up for decent bands that we cant fully remember. Must have been that so many ppl were on shrooms or dosing in the 90s . They warmed up for a blues traveler AND allman bros show i saw outdoors in vermont and as good as the allman bros are i could have preferred to listen to bighead Todd play the entire show . Went never having heard of them in 93' and left saying that warm up band was the best ive ever seen . Although i did see stevie ray Vaughan warm up for robert plant and aside from the second half of plants show playing all Zeppelin tunes stevie ray also was a warmup that also outdid the main act for the most part . Sadly he got killed in plane crash about a month after i saw him . Guy played the guitar with his teeth for real , behind his back and in every position possible and never missed a chord .
