Thanks for the great video! Couple of questions though: - After using clear finish from other brands, I've noticed leather starts feels plastic-y after applying it. Is this the same for Colour Lock finish? If yes, is there any way to soften the leather more, giving back more of the original leather feel. - What spray gun are you using and how do you keep from clogging up the tip (especially when spraying the coating)? - What type of compressor do I need to keep spraying steadily without stutters due to pressure? Thanks again!:)

Hi Yannick, - Our clear coats leave a smooth finish but the plasticy feel might be due to applying too much paint. Excess paint makes leather feel plastic like. Try sanding with a very fine grit like 4000 before applying the clear coat/top coat. this should help too. - We use a SATA minijet 4400 and after every use we run clear water through it and then soak it in Colourlock Strong Leather Cleaner which prevents it from clogging. We never have any issues when this process is followed. - We have 2 compressors - a 25 litre Hyundai quiet compressor and a 100 litre and don't have any stutters. A bigger one is suitable as the compressor doesn't have to work as hard. Which one do you use?

When is the size of a hole typically too big to repair?
@geist.leathercare3 жыл бұрын
I'd say a 3 inch diameter is fairly big but mostly those damages are not singular...leather around these holes are usually very weak and you'll have to take that into consideration. In all honesty, we wouldn't have repaired this armchair. We only did this as a favour for our post man who had purchased this as a gift for his father!
