This song reminds me of my late grandfather. He was the first Railfan in the family I now carry on without him. Miss you grandpa. 1917-2010😢

Thank you so much for posting the album version of this song! It is SO good that it's just a crying shame that RCA (I assume) felt it should butcher it down a minute from the way it was originally recorded. It's definitely one of my very favorite Restless Heart songs! And no, I certainly have never heard of Eddie Money ever having been the lead singer (it boggles the mind!). LOL

From the steam powered Iron Horses to todays diesel powered Steel Stallions to the electric powered Mustangs of the future, the railroads will roll on!

MY GRANDPA TOOK ME TO THE HARMON YARDS ABOUT 20 MILES NORTH OF NY WHERE AMONG OTHER THINGS THE COMMUTER RAIL LINES AND THERE WERE ALSO FREIGHTS AND CHANGED FROM ELECTRIC THIRD RAIL TO DEISAL I SAW ONCE MY ONLY GLIMPSE OF A LARGE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE MOVING SLOWLY THROUGH THE YARD THIS WAS IN THE 1950S AND A LARGE PART OF THE RAIL YARD WAS TURNED INTO A FOUR LANE EXPRESSWAY AND A HUGE PARKING LOT FOR THE STATION I SAW ALL KINDS OF RAIL CARS LIKE THOSE WITH CRANES ETC. WHICH YOU USUALLY ONLY SEE ON MODEL TRAIN LAYOUTS MY GRANDPA HAD ALWAYS WANTED A TRAIN SET AS A KID BUT TIMES WERE HARD AND HE HAD TO LEAVE HIGH SCHOOL TO GO TO WORK BUT HE BOUGHT ME A NICE AMERICAN FLYER S GUAGE SET UP WHICH I ADDED TO FOR SOME TIME

Eddie Money ??? Ha ha ha … Tone / Timbre is too low for ‘Ed Mahoney’ (his real name)… THIS is sung by John Dittrich, Restless Heart’s drummer and lead singer on mega-hits ‘When She Cries’ and ‘Tell Me What You Dream’…. And a super nice, super talented - and now, happily retired man !!!
