Yay! Im so glad you went to Chubby’s and Umeke’s. They are my top two faves on my home island. Born and raised in Kohala where you saw the original statue. Next time, right next to Roy’s Waikoloa is Big Island Shave Ice. Number 1 our book for shave ice. And Lisa wins for picking Tex’s over Leonard’s🙌🏽😆 Tex’s malasadas is the best! Aloha Bill and Lisa!! Next time you go to Big Island, you HAVE to go to Super J's. They have traditional Hawaiian. Very limited but amazing food. Hawaiian Style Cafe. All their food is amazing. Gotta try the haupia pancakes. My favorite. They have locations in Waimea and Hilo. Honaunau Poke. Super fresh poke. South side sweetie and avo poke are my faves. Ippy's BBQ. Great plate lunch. The Original Big Island Shave Ice Co. Really good shave ice and natural fruit syrups. Great video!! We'll try Chubbie's next time we go. I have so many more places to recommend.....

Forbidden rice is black rice. It’s very good for you. I make it with a little oyster sauce and a protein and call that lunch or dinner. I love the nutty flavor of the rice. It’s a bit pricey but worth it. Love your videos!

The hamburger bun was too much. Glad you enjoyed your time on the Big Island. It is my favorite island to visit. Add-on: I really should wait til the end before sending my comments....You know how much I like to tell you that places are haunted, right?Manago Hotel...haunted! Lol. We went for dinner. I had to use the bathroom which was outside of the dining room and had to walk across a wooden walkway, in the dark, creepy! Lol.

I love the beautiful areas you visited! I now want to go to Chubby’s Diner, the food looked amazing! The burgers you got from Tex’s looked okay but the buns on the hamburger looked kinda like the Malasadas that you ate 😂. Great selection of Hawaiian cuisine. 97% looked delicious. Those hiking trails beckon and vistas are spectacular, of course. Also, Waikiki is retired couples' delight. Poet's can thrive, too in Hawaiian Isles. Now, back to reality...Safe travels.
