if it's a close call on c1 or c2 and a competitor asks "am I outside," I reply with "it's really close you should probably step it off." At that point I don't say anything more regardless of the size or count of the steps.

I disagree with Nate so much on getting distance from about anywhere. Inside of 20, pacing it out is a great way to recall the "feel" needed for a putt. How many thousands of 15 footers have been practiced, even by amateurs? Recognizing that the practiced motion is all you need to succeed is a big confidence builder. C1 edge, I know that my putts require a little "pop" to get there, and 45ft is a "comfortable full send with standard grip". Each distance step that can be recalled with confidence provides greater likelihood of a make.

I love his sentiment but if the circle isn't clearly marked for a hole, why even have the 10m rule? It'd be like not having a 3pt line in basketball and expecting the players to know how far away it should be. If they want to stop players from using lasers, they need to mark the circle's boundaries and not leave it up to judgement IMO. Would speed the game up and make it easy for fans to judge distance on footage.

cannot disagree with you more Nate about ranging from edge of circle. It's the entire reason I purchased a rangefinder since I'm a step putter. I trust the rangefinder MUCH MUCH more than some guy stepping it off. :)

I love Jomez. This is why we need a petition. Regardless of why the merger is happening(some of us know) we need to demand Jomez not change one bit. Post coverage, funny commentary, etc.... none of us want disc golf to look & sound like ball golf. & we all know that's where it's headed. If Jomez isn't given priority on events, & the dgpt keeps taking more & more control, I'm not watching dgpt. I'll unsub, revoke my pdga# & cancel my dgpt subscription. It's the only way. Money talks. The ppl want Jomez as it is.

Whether you realize it or not, you're in the minority on this subject. & if you cared enough to reply, then you should open your ears to what ppl are saying. At the least, you should support something that protects Jomez considering they are in large part responsible for the popularity of disc golf.

Got to play this course today for the Am tourney. Holy crap is it long. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many 650+ holes together in one place. Also. Shoutout to the course designers for really leaning into the Mandos. There are a TON of them and they really force you to throw golf shots instead of hyzer bombs. I’ve seen a lot of golf course conversions that were hesitant to over-use Mandos and in the process created boring golf. Would I rather have an ideal world where they aren’t needed, sure, but I’m really glad they chose to lean into them.
