Loved seeing the changing of the bulls ! You can tell they are comfortable with you ! Big Joe just strutted his stuff along and so did Dunbar ! You have 2 amazing bulls and I hope the changes with the female gives you great success ! Big Joe is my favorite and I hope he does a great job with the ladies ! Dunbar will always be center stage guy ... I hope he does well with his new ladies !Next year should be a year worth waiting for !! You both did a good job moving them today ! Loved seeing all the red dogs just follow along with their mommas ! They are growing so much ! Meant to say your setup works really good for you ! The improvements work very well !! Seamed everything went just as planned !

Dusty, I found out about your channel 1-1/2 yrs ago through Arms Family Homestead. To be honest, for the first few months I didn't find it very interesting; I just kept watching to see these huge amazing animals up close and learn about them. But lately things are getting really exciting , and today was no exception. I loved it in the beginning when Dunbar's herd all followed your truck almost like a row of ducks, except they are huge, behemoth creatures. These guys really know you and trust you and in their own bison-way I think they love you! Looking forward to the next video! The Lord's Blessings on your young family and all your beautiful animals!! 🙏🙏💕🐂💕🙏

This was also a super smart way for you to grow your heard, as all heifers from Big Joe can be put in the new Dunbar heard when they are breeding are, and the Dunbar heifers can be add to the big heard in the same way! Great planning and foresight!

It does something to my heart to see them running and chasing the 4 wheeler, and thriving, having babies. From the edge of extinction, to happy and thriving. It does my heart good. I know there will never be the numbers there were, but at least there is an effort to make things right that were so done so wrong to these beautiful, majestic animals. I love their personalities. I always wonder what they are thinking :) They sure are beautiful!❤🙏

He is In for a rough time with kit. I hope he can stand his ground with her. You can tell the difference in kit & Flo's babies. 1). The color of coat. Kit Is getting to be more a tan color. Alot lighter. Flo has dark red yet. 2). The size of the to. Flo has one horn broke off. Kit is larger and very dominant. I hope it all goes smoothly. Marissa done good job recording. Job well done.

Okay so I had my cardio workout for the week. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada not too far from Elk Island National Park. My dad would take us every spring and summer to see the Buffalo and always educated us about the Buffalo, respecting that they are wild animals and never to get close to them because of the danger. As a kid my heart would pound when I saw these beautiful beasts and how huge and strong they looked and they always exude such self confidence of their power and mightiness. I love your video’s and the education you provide us and thank you for always reminding us that while we get caught in their majestic beauty and strength to remember the dangers of the Buffalo, to respect them and learn about them. You have such a love of them and it shows throughout your videos. Thank you to you and your family for bringing us along on this marvellous journey.

Marissa did a great work with the camera. Perfectly steady. She has a perfect right to be nervous. She's a wife and mother! She doesn't want to see you injured, or worse... And you know it could happen. I love your channel and would never question the things you do. You're the rancher, the expert. I'm sure you know more about your job than I do. Hope you get some awesome babies out of this change-up.

I don't know the dynamics of the "changing of the bulls", but I sure hope the babies will be safe in both herds.

@@souleater32 I know that part, I don't know the part of how bulls react to other bulls babies. In the Gorilla species, the silverback knows when it's not his offspring and can kill or hurt them.
@thecryptofishist9565
@thecryptofishist9565 3 жыл бұрын
@@cristyrawks6325 My guess is that since the cows are going to come into heat anyway, the calves are alright. Because gorilla babies keep their mothers from ovulation (I assume it's by breastfeeding, as it works in humans) that silverbacks kill babies when they take over. Depending on the baby's age.

@@cristyrawks6325 so what does that random fact about primates have to do about bison?

@@khancrow8212 Simply making a comparison of switching of the herd to switching to a new male Silverback and the consequences. Questioning if the rejection of the babies would pertain to the bison as well. But thanks for asking.
