Big K.R.I.T really gave us a damn near perfect double album. Making a solid double album is really hard, especially in rap. Every track hits, every instrumental is great, the hooks all pop, his flows and lyrics are great. You don’t get tired of it listening to both discs in one sitting. Every song feels like it belongs. Every song flows together and feels like it’s in the right place. The duality in the two discs thematically and sonically comes together beautifully. When he opens up about his struggles, he gets it across so well; you can connect with him easily. K.R.I.T is at the top of his game. He has more than earned his place among the greats in hip hop, especially now.

willemdee man you ain't lying about that. I waited for Best Buy to open early in the morning on October 27 to purchase my physical copy and after playing this album nonstop, I feel like this is one of the best Hip-Hop/Rap double albums since 8Ball's '98 Lost album as far lyricism and diverse subject matter. Kdot and Cole are amazing, but they're highly overrated. I'm tired of hearing that generic response from people when they act like those are the only 2 artists as far as new school who are making an impact on the genre. It's so many more artist like K.R.I.T. who should be getting more credit than what they get.

*‘4eva is a mighty long time’* is an amazing album. definitely in my top 5 of year, and krit’s best work so far IMHO. he is rapping his black ass off throughout the entire project. the length of the album doesn’t even bother me at all, because it flows so well and the funny interludes help it move seamlessly from one theme to the next. [some of] my favorite tracks are: *‘subenstein (my sub IV)’* -that beat switchup from a bass banger to a slow swanger is everything *‘1999’* -makes me want to back my ass up like it’s 1999. 😂💃🏽 can def see this one being his radio single. lloyd does the damn thing. *‘get up to come down’* -nice to hear sleepy brown singing in 2017, and cee-lo murked his verse. *‘layup’* -probably my most played track on the whole album. that chorus is infectious. 🎶lookin’ like a LAYUP ayyye🎶 *‘keep the devil off’* -makes me feel like i’m a southern baptist church during praise & worship! 😂🙌🏽

I remember being at the Big Krit 'I got this here' video shoot in Meridian, MS. Him Sha Money, and his manager were there. It was a beautiful thing to see the city come out and party with no problems! Meridian is gang infested, but for that one day, it was all love. I got some behind the scenes footage but I was new to working the camera. Krit, I remember riding from New Orleans with the top down in my 6 series BMW after a long drunken night alone when I first heard 'Banana Clip Theory'. Bro, I was right there mentally with you man......You got to open up to fresh eyes and ears for inspiration. People outside of the main stream for inspiration as I did when I found your music.

"Trying to take heed what I say in my songs Forgive me if I ever ever steered you wrong Most people stop for signs but I driven through it If it don’t touch my soul then I can’t listen to it The radio don’t play the shit I used to love Or maybe I am just growing up" -Big K.R.I.T

Such an interesting and mature interview. Dude has clearly seen some things and decided to channel it. Talented guy and I hope he gets his dues for the work that he's put in.

Wisdom comes from experience. Humbleness is learned through humility. And accepting what comes from those actions. Big ups KRIT. " It's better this way"
