As the father of two young girls who lost their mother to a drug overdose 2 years ago, as well as being in and out of recovery for quite some time now...KRIT knocked this out of the park, end of discussion. When Krit wuz here came out 10 years ago...I was at the peak of my addiction and that album quite literally prevented me from committing suicide. He's come full circle for me. As a gift to me from my family and others for my first Real and True entire year of sobriety which will be June 1st I'll be meeting this man on June 4th at his show in Louisville, KY. Thank God for this man because he's gotten me through some of the toughest times I've ever faced in my life.

MAAAIIIINE LISTEN!!! If it don't touch my soul I can't listen to it! This dude has to be the most talented to ever do it. From the songwriting, the producing, the singing, the rapping, the lyrical content, the engineering, the ability to capture a moment, a vibe, the emotion of a current situation while evoking the nostalgia of our youth... his ability is unmatched. As someone that's the same age as KRIT and grew up 40 min away from him in Tylertown, MS, but has also been afforded the opportunity to travel the world an obtain a different life perspective outside of where we grew up, there has never been another artist that has encapsulated the results of that dichotomy as profoundly as KRIT. The energy, the soul, the funk, the faith, the love, the real, the struggle, the questions, the rebellion, the influence of the streets, it's ALL in the music and composed in such a profound way. Rant over... In other words... THIS NIGGA BE SPITTIN'!
